Pork Tenderloin with Jalapeno Cream Sauce
Sauteed Haricot Verts
Texas Dirty Rice
Come take a seat at the table

Friday blogger blocked me from leaving comments when I got home from work and then this weekend has been one of rain, thunder, lightening and simply closing up in the apartment with my Nancy.
Did not make it to the Music Fest this year. The weather was not for me. I guess 2 of 3 is not so bad.
I will be here next Monday with a Tuneage Tutelage - New Music Monday. I just received a few new CDs and want to review and send out some questions for the artists to answer.
I am also off to new Hampshire Wednesday morning until Friday morning. Then we are off to Florence, AL for a baseball tournament with Peter.
Busy week.
Tiger Woods Golf has grabbed a hold of me. I knew it was a possibility..and it came to pass. Hey DRILLERAA of "Brain Freeze" get that game loaded and practice. Then we can go online and play each other!
The forecast is for rain all week...welcome to springtime in Memphis!
Had some really sad news this weekend. My best friend "A" is suffering from Retinitis Pigmentosa, a crappy disease that has caused "A" to have no peripheral vision.
Recently, "A" received a puppy from some friends and has been working with her. She was the perfect dog for him, perfectly trained.
This last week "A's" mom was in the hospital in Florida and "A" had flown down with his puppy.
The other day while walking, the puppy spooked and jumped off the lease and as she stepped into the street, a car came by. The puppy had to be put to sleep and my best buddy has been suffering sadness since.
He does have a friend who works for the Guide Dogs For The Blind, and "A" has been put on a list for one of the dogs who is rejected from the program. In addition, he has put his name in for a Guide Dog when one becomes available.
This is a huge step for my friend who has had to come to the realization that without a Guide Dog, he is limited as to what he can do.
As he said to me "I could not even come back to Memphis on my own. Going through airports is nearly impossible."
When "A" was here a couple of summers ago, I had to watch out for him when we were on Beale Street. When he bumped into a large gentleman at B.B. King's, the guy - who had quite a few cocktails - was not totally happy, and I had to explain to him.
My fingers are crossed that A" gets a puppy soon to keep him company and a Guide Dog in the near future to give him back some of his freedom.

This certainly fits the weather here in Memphis...
very sad.
I pray A gets a new dog very soon.
Good luck to your buddy, Vin. Cheers!!
That's tough news about your friend losing that puppy. I hope he gets a real best friend soon to help get him through, it must be scary, losing your sight slowly.
Man, has it been raining huh?
I've got sooo much on my table right now, I'm not sure when I'll be ready for tournament play.
Weather is still a mess here too.
So sorry to hear about your friend. Life can be difficult to handle. He will be in my prayers this day.
Sounds very tough what your friend is going through. I will have a good thought for him. We're getting rain all week too. Thanks for the Tull song. Perfect...

JEFF: From what I know springtime in Memphis sounds like all year long in Portland! LOL
Thank you my friend.
I knew a guy who had that same disease when I was growing up. There were a group of guys around town who helped him out and he had a dog. They even took him to Arkansas football and basketball games. When he died he left money in his will to take care of his dog.
Sending good vibes for a new pup for your pal.
Catching up with the posts I've missed... brb.
JAY: My buddy is only 54, so hopefully he has many years left with this new puppy.
STAR: Thank you so much.
That's so sad - Saying a prayer that a new puppy will be in your friend's future very soon.
Have a safe week, Vinny!
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's condition and the loss of his dog. Hopefully that organization will get him a new dog soon.
Much luck to your friend Vinny... I hope he gets a new friend soon so that he can continue to have some freedom; that would be very very tough.
Safe travels, and good luck to Peter!
I cannot even begin to imagine the lack of independence and sorrow "A" is feeling. Prayers are with him!
I hope your friend gets his new dog soon. Having a dog around really makes a different.
Love the music.
And try to take it easy this week, sounds like you are going to really busy, so don't do too much.
PATTI: Thank you my friend
SOUTHERN: We are all hopeful
TUG: Thanks Tug
DANA: It is so tough to watch sometimes.
JOHN: Thanks and glad you enjoyed the tuneage
So terribly sad about your friend's pup. I'll pray things work out for a new canine friend and companion.
Holing up at home during a rainy weekend isn't so bad, particularly with loved ones!
Dude the puppy story is super sad. I hope he gets his Guide Dog soon =(
Rainy weather is really a bummer for outdoor music. No doubt.
Aww honey....i'm so sorry to hear about A. I hope he gets his independence back real soon. I saw a video that Paula A gave a guide dog to Scott Mc of AI fame. So sad.
