Weather weather everywhere....Some horrible flooding in the Midwest.
Flooding in Ohio and Wisconsin displacing families...
Extreme heat in the South and Midsouth...we are sitting at 100-105 here in Memphis...
Tornadoes in NJ last week...
What the hell is happening?
We hope all in the Midwest are safe and it is only property damage...because property can be replaced...
So, the big DUB is now using Vietnam as an excuse for his continued insistence we stay in Iraq...
Ummm, we thinks that history has shown that our involvement in Vietnam did little to change anything in that part of the world, so maybe he needs to rethink his stance....will be interesting to see the Mid-September report to Congress due by September 15 from U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and the top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus.
The big spin begins now as he tried to build some support in the face of growing discontent from the American public.
Gotta tell you, we would be really unhappy if we were a Republican candidate as this is going to weigh heavily on any of their campaigns...
Go on..tell us you agree or tell us you don't...this is how we feel...
TIME TO GET THE HELL OUT!
How would you like to be an Oriole, get your a** kicked in a game and then have to turn around and go back and play another?
OH Brother!
Ah Bill...you crazy wildman you....
But Murray was cited as saying that he had asked a guy named Matt-Man where the next tee was and that is how he got lost...One wonders.....
PLEASE give me a break....argggggggggggggggggggg
Some people get to go away for the weekend to visit a friend...others get to go work....we are the later of those two...
So, if there is no post tomorrow, you will know why. We get in to town and right to the plant and have no idea when tomorrow night will end....
A pale-blue dress worn by Princess Diana to the 1987 Cannes Film Festival failed to attract bids in an Internet auction for charity on Wednesday, just days ahead of the 10th anniversary of her death.
Now there is another blue dress out there that we just bet would attract some bids....hehehe
A tidbit to whet the appetite for the next TUNEAGE TUTELAGE
which we will unveil next week.

Grand Funk Railroad

So, in case we can't get a post done...enjoy your weekend...
I will sidestep the Iraq question, for now...
I believe all of my friends and relatives in the Midwest are safe and unaffected by the flooding, but I still pray for those who are affected. What a mess.
I can't imagine the Orioles had much energy or mental fortitude to play the second game. Crikey.
If Matt-Man gave Bill Murray directions, it's a wonder Murray didn't end up in the Baltic Sea!
Safe travels, darlin'. Hope you get to enjoy some of the weekend. I have a gal pal in Atlanta who might enjoy some company...[[teehee!]]
Mwah!
If it's not water, it's fire. Both in the same place would probably be good?
All hell is breaking loose...Matt-Man golfs?
I think the answer to "What the hell is happening?" is very simple, it's us. :(
Hotlanta? Dude go kick my ex in the ass and tell him to get a job :P
It is Hotlanta too. Was 102 there yesterday.
Dubya actually thinks history has proven that Vietnam was GOOD for the region. Mmk. That man is a blithering idiot.
Matt Man leads Bill Murray astray?! I totallu buy that scenario. Probably had help from Sparky Duck.
Today is my Friday as I have errands out the ying yang (sounds painful, no?) tomorrow. That means I am in a good mood!
Hey there Bond baby.
I'm sorry I haven't been actively responding, but I have been reading.
Truth of the matter is I'm working so many hours that I can't keep myself awake, and formulating any intelligent thoughts in response to your wonderful posts is proving to be a daunting task.
However, just want to say have a great weekend. And once the brain is functioning again, I shall have a lot more to say.
SMOOCHES.
SONGBIRD: Sidestep all you want..lol
Glad to hear they are safe...
Well Bill might have been heading there and just not made it yet....
Phone number....c'mon girl...phone number...
Orioles put a 7 spot up in game 2, but gave up 9...
REN: Yes, that would help..thanks for stopping ans sitting on The Couch
ROGER: He does...he does...
TIGGERPRR: It could be..yup
STARRLIGHT: As I said to Songbird...phone number LOL
Was 103 in Memphis! Summer...South...HOT
The DUB.... sheesh
LOL There was a third party but he was unidentified...feathers were found at the scene...
ENJOY your Friday dear
ANGELL: No worries...take your time
I love baseball...but can you imagine being a fan...and being there for both games....geezzzz...
Interesting take there by SGT Dub. I will check it out. Haven't read him in a while.
Have a safe and enjoyable trip this weekend - as much as you while working that is.
OK.. I'll actually only comment on BASEBALL (the world is coming to and end!!)..
Is it me or could the Rangers have eased the hell up a bit.. I just think it's sort of unsportsmanlike to rub the other guys' noses in it.. I'm fairly certain they could have stopped at 20.
(who did it in 1990?)
SHEESH
*Giggles in anticipation at the tutelage*
and I think I heard the Ravens have never given up 30 points, or at least as long as they have been Ravens. Poor O's
I can neither confirm nor deny any other charges or suppositions. Look for it in the Petraeus report though, because he might as well be talking about Bill Murrays golf hijinks. Nothings gonna change from DC.
Its a humid 102 though right?
I've been keeping an eye on the weather down your way through CNN. It seems to have become one of my favorite channels. That and The Comedy Network. If I get depressed watching one, I can just switch over to the other to get cheered up! Good plan, yes? Hope all y'all who live in the affected areas stay safe!
As for The Dub...not going there...moving on...but I agree with you, Bond, on the Iraq situation: Time to get the hell out!
Loved the GFR. Have a safe trip.
KATHERINE: I know...It must have been a looooong time to be at even a baseball game
MIMI: LOL no not Sgt Dub.... George Dub....LOL
ANNDI: Well you have to keep batting and they were just hitting the ball over and over and quite a few home runs....Here is your answer....Chicago Colts set the major league mark in a 36-7 rout of Louisville in a National League game on June 29, 1897.
SPARKY: November 23, 2003 was the last time the Ravens gave up 30...
We have feathers Sparky....evidence galore
MERI: Comedy or CNN...both real close...
TRAVIS: Glad you enjoyed....and ty
Little tidbit on the report to congress: W plans to see that it is presented on 9/11, ahead of the previously scheduled 9/15.
Looking forward to the GFR tutelage! :D
PEG: See now if that happens, I will be furious that he is using that day to make a political statement...that is the underbelly of the slime of politics...just thinking about it makes my stomach heave...
Bond.. you said:
Most runs scored in a game by one team since 1990!
You're now talking about 1897.. make up your mind man.. yes.. I pay attention!
So you're telling me that on that one day they were able to hit most of what was coming their way?.. it'd be nice if they displayed that talent more often, no?
ANNDI: SO SORRY typo, was supposed to be 1900 ...need a proofreader I guess
29 hits, 30 runs, 8 walks.... and guess what? 11 of their hitters struck out and they left NINETEEN runners on base, so this was in no way their attmept to run up the score...2 hitters each hit 2 homes runs and two other hitters each had a grand slam home run...And all runs were earned ...not one scored because of an error by the other team...Sometimes things just click for the whole team...
Thanks for paying attention
What's happening? Well check out Revelation...the last book of the Bible. Make perfect sense to me. But then again, "they've" been saying it since the beginning of time.
OOPS.
Vinny!
I TOTALLY agree with you on Dub and Iraq. The same President who said just a year ago that there should be no comparisons 'tween Nam & Iraq NOW says, "The terrorists figure we're quiters 'cuz of Nam?" What a jerk! He should be impeached and sent to a home for the lame minded.
On baseball: I was going to mention your typo, but Anndi caught it. The Chicago Colts became the Chicago Cubs, BTW. Also: Texas set an American League record with the 30 runs. And to whoever asked if Texas could have "eased up": In baseball you really can't. You can stop stealing or advancing on passed balls but you cannot make outs on purpose. It is against the rules! Also: Baltimore gave their interim manager a contract the day before for next year. The team responded by giving up 39 runs on the same day! (A double header...) Great post.
Bud
The world's gone NUTS! (weather-wise particularly)
I tried to wish you a good weekend on Thursday but couldn't ge the comment up. I then lost all internet access.
So I will wish you a fine remainder of your weekend and hope that you have a rest at some point...
