We have Faith...

Tug awarded us with a nice award that we have added to the left side
Thank you dear friend...

Congrats to the kids from Warner Robbins, GA for winning the 2007 Little League World Series. An exciting game that went two innings past the 6-inning official game and was won on a walk-off home run in the 8th. Second year in a row a team from Georgia has won.

They had FAITH they could win and they did....

Got out of Atlanta two days early, as we finished up quickly and were done on Friday. Found a seat on the 5:30 flight on Saturday and was able to sleep in my own bed Saturday night....Spent yesterday doing some things around the apartment and swimming some laps...will be interested to stand on the Doctor's scale on Thursday. We were there at the end of May and were at our heaviest ever...topping out at 201!

But we had FAITH we could get back to our thinner self.

Little wake up call and we have been working on it since...our guess (based upon the scale in the hotel room - so it is an educated guess) is that we are now at somewhere around 178-182.

Matt moved into his apartment this weekend and today is his first day of classes at Towson. The trip to Atlanta precluded us from going up to be there, but we spoke all weekend as he made decisions on meal plans, furniture he needed etc...

In January he gets to move into the apartments for upper class people on campus. They are just not done with the renovations, so we had to find a place off-campus for three months.

Good luck 'Dude'....you make me proud, and we have FAITH that you will kick some butt over the next three years.

Big week for the NY Yankees as they take on the Red Sox on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our starting pitching is scaring me at this point, but we still have FAITH that, if they can not catch the SAUX, they can still get a wild-card spot.

Got some writing done today on "THE QUEST"...had been blocked for about a month but during the plane ride home yesterday, we worked out the curve we needed to negotiate...
Still a long way to go, but at least it is moving forward once again and we have FAITH that we can finish it before the end of the year.

Today we will introduce those of you unfamiliar with the sporting even of the summer...Held in East Dublin, Georgia each summer...THAT'S RIGHT KIDDIES...

IT IS THE RED NECK GAMES!

Here you can witness those incredibly difficult sports such as bobbing for pig's feet, seed spitting, dumpster diving, hubcap hurling, bug zapping by spitball, toilet seat 'horseshoes', an armpit serenade and a big-hair contest.

The defining moment, though, is the mud pit belly flop, mostly entered by those with beer bellies and peek-a-boo butt cracks. The trophy is a crushed and mounted Bud Light can, disappointingly empty.

Found this little video that really tells the story...and YES, we know they also hold these games in Texas, but these are the original....

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hawwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Sometimes things like this make me lose a little FAITH in our world...
but then again...it is awful silly!
