So, I am not spending enough time here. I know it, you know it, The Couch knows it...
but it does not mean I am never posting here.
I wanted to share our back deck with y'all because my beautiful bride, Nancy, has done a stellar job this year!
We also began a small garden this year and I will share some shots of that also. All photos biggie by clickie!
We are also getting tomatoes... see them about to ripen?

Coming Out the back door
From the stairs, we continue to the left
The Jasmine has been blooming forever this year
and is so fragrant

A different look along the back of the porch
Close-up of our Rosemary plant- it is incredible
Also, some sage and chives in there
That is the seating area of the kitchen behind the glass
Back around to the door from the inside
and our covered seating
The garden is below the back of the deck
It measures about 4.5" x 22"
Looking at the garden and deck from the backyard
Next year, I think I will build a wood wall
around the garden and level it more
We are also getting tomatoes... see them about to ripen?
Spaghetti Squash
Our peppers are not doing great,
but we have gotten three already and one to come
Some Basil, Purple Basil, peppers
There is also oregano, sage, mint growing
Tommy-toe (Cherry Tomatoes)
Very nice! Looks like a nice peaceful place to hang out, drink some lemonade and relax.
Jay
What jay said, although you KNOW I'd have a little something in my lemonade. ;) The porch is an extension of the inside living quarters, and that makes the house more homey and inviting.
I am NOT a gardener; I kill plants. I have even killed a cactus. Yeah, so NOT a green thumb person. That said, I'm envious of your garden because I'm very much missing the fresh produce to which I was accustomed when living in Indiana. What I wouldn't give for a fresh, Midwestern-grown tomato.......
What a lovely, lovely yard!! I envy people who can keep flowers and plants blooming like that. It's a talent, for sure.
Thanks for sharing. :) I like to imagine you and your family sitting out there laughing and enjoying a great meal.
JAY - it is restful, but I am thinking more beer than lemonade
SONGBIRD I kill plants also, which is why this is all about Nancy - our tomatoes have been DE-LICIOUS
MAGS: Thanks...it is a place we spend much time
Everything is just beautiful! I love what you've done with the herbs and vegetables as well. And you will put them to good use in that kitchen of yours. Love it.
I learned how not to kill the plants...buy fake ones. Hehehehe.
Very nice ideed, sir...I mean NANCY!
