MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2010
10pm Eastern; 9pm Central; 8pm Mountain; 7pm Pacific
This week:
JOSHUA STEDMAN
and
CHRIS HUFF
sit on
THE COUCH

Then Chris Huff joins us. Chris' last scheduled appearance was interrupted by his trip to the hospital. Well, he is recovering and we will let him lay down if necessary.
A throwback to the days when artists worked in multiple genres on the same album, his songs are impossible to pigeonhole while emerging from a spirit that is of a desire to both experiment and provide the pleasures of the best pop, rock and reggae. As a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, his sensibilities emerge to create what can only be called “Huffmusic".
Based in Bucks County, PA (45 minutes north of Philly) but a native of New York City, he’s played and sung classical, jazz, folk, and opera; he’s studied bluegrass in Kentucky; he’s been in prog rock bands, large soul groups, and alternapop combos; he’s scored film and performed children’s songs. It all adds up to experience that few other musicians can match, and it is an eclecticism that is at the heart of his music.
What is Chris up to? Will his hospital stay influence his songwriting?
I will take your calls and questions for both guests at 1.347.633.9400.
The live interactive chat room opens 20 minutes before show time. Follow this link HERE and click on the Chat Now icon.
Remember, unless you take the two minutes to register, you will not be able to participate in the chat room or send me questions to ask Joshua or Chris, but you will still hear the show.
So tune in on Monday evening or, you can always listen anytime after the show ends from the player HERE or the one here on the upper left and you can download to your iTunes and even subscribe to the show for automatic weekly downloads, from my iTunes page HERE.

THE COUCH

Joshua Stedman's NYC, SF and Miami based soulful, story-telling music sculptures the impact of the relationships personal to him, but familiar to all of us. He shares life's observations and experiences that tend to illicit that, “Yep, I've been there, too...” reaction in each of us. He weaves a clever web of funk/soul/rock roots, winding chord arrangements, elusive guitar riffs and deep organic bass lines around subtle rhythmic shifts.
Where does the music come from? Joshua and I will explore this and what he is working on.
