Remember a little band from back in the 60's called The Beatles? Yeah, I am sure one or two of you have heard of them. They had a few 'minor' hits and caused a little uproar when they came to the US from their home in Liverpool, England.
As I mentioned on Monday's show, The Beatles and that guy named Michael Jackson pretty much carried the music industry over the finish line for 2009. Without the release of Michael's "This Is It" release and the re-release of a remastered Beatles catalog, the music industry would have been dreadful, instead of just pitiful.
Well, if you are a fan of The Beatles, then you have to check out Beatles Tube. Here you will find all of the Beatles videos in one place, cataloged by album and by song alphabetically. All of these videos are on youtube, but here they are all in one place. Each video page also has a small description of the song and in some cases, information from the Beatles pulled in from various sources.
Not a huge Beatles fan? Well, you can then check out Rolling Stones Tube or U2 Tube or Queen Tube or even Elvis Tube.
In many instances, the lyrics for the songs are right there, so you can grab your hairbrush, crank up the Tuneage and sing into your mirror, channeling your inner Freddy Mercury.

my iPod is pretty new (birthday gift from The Teamster) and I haven't really gone crazy loading it up. All three kids have offered to take on the task. I've graciously denied their helpful controlling selves.
And I am not sure I'll ever let it pick the songs for me. I guess we know where the kids got their control issues.
But thanks for the Beatles Tube link...I loved it...but Rhiannon will be thrilled...
actually I been playing podcast and yours is number 1! Then the Adam Carolla show, super egos, I love movies and the Survivor fan podcast.
I don't have a player
I have a Walkman LOL
isn't it amazing that the good old music still sells, that makes me happy
...if I ever have another kid I'm namin' him Ringo...
Great set of tunes. I know what you mean about the shuffle sometimes hitting the mood dead on. The last 5 on mine are:
Bat Out of Hell, Meatloaf
I Don't Care, Bad Company
Something in the Way She Moves, James Taylor
Love the World Away, Kenny Rogers
Hello Young Lovers, Wes Montgomery
KATHERINE: Shuffle is one of the great features of an iPod...you will learn that
ROGER: I appreciate it dude...I really do
DIANNE: It makes me happy also...some of the new stuff confuses me - am I old?
PHFRANKIE: And I do not doubt that for a second!
TRAVIS: A great five song set indeed. Thanks for playing
Right now I'm still enjoying "Morning Sun" and "Blow" from Shayna Zaid & the Catch. *grin*
"Champagne Jam" by the Atlanta Rhythm Section is a fantastic song.
Oh, and my last five songs...
"I Don't Need A Hero" by Concrete Blonde ("Bloodletting")
"Roll It Over" by Derek & The Dominos ("Crossroads")
"Long Nights" by Eddie Vedder ("Into The Wild" Soundtrack)
"Driven" by Rush ("Different Stages")
"Untitled 8" by Sigur Ros ("( )")
The fact that the Beatles and MJ had to save the music industry last years says a lot about the crummy music that is being put out these days.
SONGBIRD: Blow rings in my head all the time..I love that song
SOUTHERN: It is a great song, and that is a cool list
JAY: Very true and sad indeed
YAY, I got to comment! ;-) Think tonight it may have been on my end - good thing I'm stubborn, lol. OK, my last 5:
I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
Untouched - Veronicas
Lean on Me - (from Haiti Special) Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Keith Urban
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Andre Bocelli & Mary J. Blige (what was that special? Don't remember, sorry)
21 Guns (from some special as well, with Greenday as the 'featured artist' instead of actually from their album).
Happy Weekend Bond...I'm on a 4-day. YAY.
yes, yes you're old!
but so am I
TUG: Wow...real interesting mix indeed
DIANNE: I do not want to be old! Nope, I refuse
yey! Well you won't need telling, but - let us know about it once you've been, eh?
Civil Twilight - Letters from the Sky
John Melloncamp - Walk Tall
Ratt - Round and Round
Blues Traveler - Sweet Pain (grr)
Garbage - Special
The Beatles...not sure if I've heard of them...
You are going to have a blast at that concert!!! It's okay, I'm old, too! ;)
Jay's going to have a blast taking that bow off!
