Thanks for your comments on my review of WHERE THE LIGHT IS yesterday...yes even the comments that said "Whatever you do, DON'T give it to (me)", "Not a big fan..." or even "Ever since he dated Jessica Simpson, I deleted him from my memory."
Two people actually stated I should give it to Dana because of the hardship she experienced over the weekend...how sweet is that!
Then there were the five people who campaigned for the CD including the Dana...and she was actually asking for her son...who caused the hardship by not being too smart!
I thought...do I reward him for breaking the rules? Do I feel sorry and give the CD to him anyway?
Ah...the trials and tribulations of holding a prize in your hand and controlling where it may end up...
Lu' wanted the CD because she did not know that much about John Mayer...
Starr spoke of seeing John early early on in his career and spoke of all the times she has told me to get into him...and even came up with an alphabetical reason:
A. HUGE FAN and have been since before he was a star.
B. I think I deserve some props for hounding you about him early on :P
C. C ....well C is for Canolli which you can't make me, therefore it should be replaced with CD...see it's alphabetically prophetic!
The Cannoli comment cracked me up - even though she spelled it incorrectly!
Another Desert Rat spoke of holding her lighter high and jumping up and down...and you know if she jumps up and down her boobies will shake, not a horrible thing! LOL
Mags told her story of seeing him live in CT with his parents on the stage and how his songs touch her emotionally...
OH what to do...what to doooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I have darlin' Nancy and don't really need to see boobies bobbing....Matt-Man, you can try and get ADR to do it for you...so sorry ADR...
Lu' I think the CD should go to someone who has a love for Mr. Mayer....
Mags...great story, but this time it is not going to push me over the line...sorry...
So, I am down to an Prophetic alphabetical excursion and a lump on the side of the head and a mom who spent hours in a hospital tending to their child. She took the correct steps in confiscating the bike in the height of summer and is obviously disappointed, but she still campaigned for him.
Well, the CD is firmly embedded on my iTunes and I rarely use a CD now a days...so I am going to do a Solomon like thing..
NO, I am not giving them each one of the two CDs that comes with the package. I am going to give each of them the CD package. One will be opened and used. The other still sealed, but I don't think either of them will mind.
Dana and Starr, email me your snail mail address and I will ship off your WHERE IS THE LIGHT - JOHN MAYER LIVE IN LA CD.
Congrats to both of you and thanks all of you for playing. There will be more giveaways in the future, and both of you are not allowed to compete for the next two give-aways...
THEMS THE RULES!
From the CD....the Tom Petty song, "Free Fallin'"
ENJOY.................

Her new single, “This Little Thing“, is blazing up the charts on New York City’s Power 105 FM which must be a dream come true for this Harlem native.
Also, this week God stops by–or at least a man who claims to be God. Science Fiction writer Thomas M. Disch declared himself to be the Almighty in 2004, began answering questions AS God, and then published his first novel in nine years this summer.
We’ll find out if his new book “The Word of God” was divine intervention, if Disch is just a raving lunatic and we’ll ask him, if indeed he is God, how he feels about getting second billing to Talia Coles on the Radio Happy Hour.
All that, plus Vinny Bond drags his Big Leather Couch into the Radio Happy Hour Lounge to chat live with the listeners, Justin the Weatherman and we’ll take your calls at 646-652-4804.
Join us live every Tuesday night at 9PM ET. The Radio Happy Hour Lounge-a live chat room during show time-is a whole new reason to make sure you listen live! It’s the show within the show!
catchin' up....didn't play this time...but I guess that means I can still win.
Will try and make RHH tomorrow!
Kiss Ass...Tom Petty is da man. Cheers Vinny!!
WooHoo!! Something good came from the lump on the side of the head and the interruption of Sunday supper! Thanks Vinny, for the pity vote. I'll be sure that Cam is indebted to you (and me) forever!! And we'll have yet another discussion about gravity ...
Hmm...guess I'll have to sharpen up my begging skills to win a CD. OK, I can do that!
Have a great day Sir.
cuz I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
free faaaaaaaaaaaallin'
the tune is not there for me to listen (just a blank white strip where teh player should be)...so I'm singing it.
HUGS!!
KATHERINE: Yup...you are free to play
MATT-MAN: Not me dude... Rock this
DANA: It will be on the way
DRILLERAA: Ah man...begging helps...cool comments rule!
LEELEE: LOL...sometimes you have to refresh..It is there now. - dumb lifelogger.
Awww...I missed out on this one! That's what I get for not making the blog rounds for almost 2 weeks. I can't seem to get on track.
Oh well. :-) Hope you have a great day. We're headed to the parade. It's Canada Day here today! Woo hoo! :-)
Congratulations Dana and Starr!
You are such a nice guy Vinny. I will have to check this guy out. I have not really given him much attention and I have always loved James Taylor style of music.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Kimmie
Have a good Happy Hour Vin!
You'll notice I did NOT pipe up with "Pick me, ooo, ooo, pick me!" yesterday. Why? Too damn lazy, that's why.
Oh, and when I jump, my boobs make a thunderous sound frightening enough to send the cows stampeding, so you REALLY don't want me jumping.
(But, thanks for the Tom Petty. I could regale you with stories of having seen him concert about a half dozen times, but I won't. So there.)
Wooo! The puppy's comment got mentioned!
I don't think I've heard John Mayer's work so I don't know if I'd like it or not. The puppy's comment was meant to be a humorous attempt at reverse psychology...which doesn't matter anyways as I wasn't gonna give out my snail mail addy regardless! :D
Well, had I been around to see that you were having a contest, I would have put my money on Starr.
What a shock.
I have an interesting story about John Mayer and a good friend of mine when Mayer was in town for one of our music "festivals" a couple of years ago. I'll share it soon.
Hmmm... the bouncing boobies really hadn't figured into my equation but it's an interesting angle.
Good pick with Dana and Starr - you have demonstrated compassion and fairness. ("This butt-kissing should garner higher marks for NEXT time," she thinks to herself. "I need a tissue and a breath mint.")
Songbird: LOL
TWYLA: Happy Canada Day to you...hope you enjoyed the parade
KIMMIE: Thank you and you should give him a listen..check his website
ROGER: i might be drinking heavy today!
SONGBIRD: thunderous huh...would I hear them in Memphis...and next time listen first! LOL
MERI: I also knew the snail mail would never be given! I DO know YOU
RWA: And why is that Sir? huh? Hey are you saying it was fixed? cause it weren't! LOL Tell the story please...
ADR: LOL...yup sucking up just might help!
Love Tom Petty. I got the new DVD/CD of the traveling Wilburys. What a great package. A liitle sad since Roy only lived through the first CD. And really sad now the George is gone...
The shoes are in the mail. :)
I think you made a great decision Vinny, and glad to know that bouncing boobies aren't everything. ;-)
LOVE the Traveling Willbury's & Tom Petty....
I sure hope no one got injured from all the bouncing bazoombas.
Hehehehehee
Great choices on the winners Bond! :) It was fun to remember that concert, none the less.
But but but....if you would have picked Travis we coulda had his address! Sheesh!!
BOND RULES!!!
That is all =)
