Yes, I know I promised a review of "Where The Light Is - John Mayer Live in Los Angeles" today, but to be honest, I have not given the CD a fair enough listen to make honest comments. I have listened to the first CD all the way through, but have not really had the opportunity to give CD 2 a real close listen.
Y'all know that I will not do something half way. So I ask your indulgence and let me spend the weekend, listening and making notes.
The subject will be food---cooking, favorite food stories, and she has even threatened some Foodie QuidProQuo. I look forward to it. My last time on as a guest and not just a caller was the day before New Year's Eve when darlin' Nancy and I were sitting at her kitchen table.
Unfortunately, this time I will only be on the phone.
Check us out..bring your food stories and questions...I will tell all..well except the complete recipe for my GRAVY - I said gravy Mary!
bwahahahahahaahaha
No hiding here...they did not put the booze in coffee cups (Well Bob Hope uses a beer stein it looks like)...and everyone had a cigarette going the whole time - as a matter of fact that fact is what makes this clip an instant classic..watch for it...
Y'all have a great weekend...hope to hear from you Sunday and I will be here Monday with the review...
We will give you a taste from the Mayer Album...this is "STOP THIS TRAIN"
ENJOY....
v~~

I'm fired up about the show sugar!
The Carson bit is hilarious! I did catch the "ashes" - ha!
"Stop This Train" - I like it. The flavor is something like old James Taylor tunes (not the voice but the acoustic guitar and the whistling). Great lyrics and relaxing to listen to. Looking forward to your review.
Mmmmmm...Gravy! I don't care what you call it. I'll expect UPS delivery with a dozen canolli ;)
Thanks for the Carson laugh. That was a good one.
CHARLENE: Yup...I know! It was fun...might not do it each week, just when the mood strikes and the idea is worthwhile.
TURNBABY: As am I SMOOCH
ADR: I laughed my butt off at the bit...
It is a great tune
STARRLIGHT: And where am I getting cannoli here in Memphis?????
LOL
MICKEY-T: Glad you enjoyed.
ya gotta love that they are sitting there smoking 'rettes...too funny!

Love the clip! Now you'll have me searching out more old Carson clips. Sounds like a good way to spend an evening.
We'll try to tune in Sunday night!
Loved the clip - Carson is still a classic...
I'll be around this weekend, so 'see' you at the show!!
I loved watching Johnny, I really miss that time era. What a great clip! Thanks for sharing. ;-)
Can't wait to see the show Sunday evening. :-) I Love TB's show. She is a sweetie pie.
Cannoli's???? Mmmmmmmmm! Mysecond favorite dessert next to NYS Cheesecake! ;-)
Have a wonderful weekend my friend. Hug your darlin' Nancy!
Blessings,
Kimmie
Man, those were the good old days. I'm a huge Dean Martin fan. He was the coolest of the cool. Those guys knew how to be alcoholics. Not like these wannabes of today.
Hey, I tried to put your blog in my Google Reader, but it wouldn't work. I guess your feed isn't turned on?
Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog! I'll be back!
Anytime some of the "classic" entertainers (any of the Rat Pack, Goble, Newhart, Buddy Hackett, etc.) were on Carson, there was no telling what might happen. I remember this night very well.
Nice tune, I think I'm gonna like this album. I also think Joe Cocker may have a new effort out. I thought I saw it advertised at the Virgin Records store in Downtown Disney. Yes we're back.
LEELEE: I did love it...enjoy your weekend
BUD: Fantastic clip...thanks
STARR: Not a baker...sowry!
KB: Trying to get it written now
TRAVIS: LOL..there are many out there...
TUG: LOL...some of the best...see yoou Sunday
KIMMIE: Looking forward to seeing you Sunday..Hope you are having fun with your guests
JAY: LOL SO right... Not sure why feed is not working for you...
Good luck on the show. I'll try and tune in. I've got a link on my blog now for your regular gig.
The clip is great. I can still remember his last show with Bette Midler. A classic.
I just love these old clips. Just love them. Gobel ia a riot. Thanks for sharing :)
