All you need to do is click on the graphic to get to the rest of the RUBY TUESDAY posts...
Back to Tucker - and not Travis and Pam's MR. TUCKER - just simply Tucker, Nancy's cat who decided to take a little break on the deck and helped himself to some water that was left behind after the plants were watered...
Of course it qualifies due to the red tongue he is so nimbly using to quench his thirst...
And a bonus RUBY shot...the full view of the Little men from last week, a few of you asked - "Is it a candle holder?...the answer is YES...and then I was asked to show the entire piece, so here tis...in 2 views...

Remember to come by Monday...we will have music from two new artists and also some music news bout some famous musicians...
Will also be reviewing two new Christmas Albums in the next few weeks and giving them away also! I am actually listening to one of them right now and it is HAWT! Well, as Hawt as a Christmas Album can get that is!
Also taking care of a friend who sent an email asking if I cold collect a grouping of the song "Please Come Home For Christmas"...found 13 versions that are being burned and packaged...I LOVES spreading the joy of TUNEAGE!
This is a new one floating around the bloggosphere, with JAY of "Cynical Ba**ard" and SONGBIRD of "The Ice Box" both posting it yesterday...seemed like a fun thing to do on a Friday, so...simply answer the questions in the comment area: 1. Who are you? 2. Are we friends? 3. Something I have and YOU want? 4. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it. 5. Describe me in one word. 6. What was your first impression of me? 7. Do you still think that way about me now? 8. What reminds you of me? 9. If you could give me anything what would it be? 10. How well do you know me? 11. How do you see me in the future? 12. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn’t? 13. Are you going to post this in your blog and see what I say about you?
New Year's Eve Dinner is sold out! LOL...
We will be 10 having a six-course meal that will begin at 6:00pm for cocktails, first course served at 7:00pm and then one course each hour until dessert/coffee/champagne/liqueurs/booze at midnight!
I have already begun to prepare the menu. Y'all will have to wait until after the holiday to find out what it is, but I will tell you the courses and they are: 1) Appetizer 2) Soup 3) Pasta 4) Salad 5) Main 6) Dessert
Been 3 years since I have been able to do this and I am PSYCHED!
DANG..almost forgot to mention (AGAIN!!!) that last weekend, Nancy's youngest Peter got his first deer. He brought home some venison, so we will be cooking some of that this weekend.
AND...her oldest, Ernie is starring in the HS production of "Beowulf (on a budget)" this weekend.
This his first attempt at theater and he was awarded the lead! I go tomorrow, front row seat with the video camera charged and ready.
OK, weekend music for y'all...
Have a great one!
This is The String Cheese Incident...a jam band that came together in the 90's and found a niche putting on shows at ski resorts, summer festivals and small venues. Band members are Michael Kang (acoustic/electric mandolin, electric guitar, and violin), Michael Travis (drums and percussion), Bill Nershi (acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, and electric slide guitar), Kyle Hollingsworth (piano, organ, Rhodes, and accordion), and Keith Moseley (bass guitar).
The band has essentially broken up a few years ago with each of the members doing side projects, but they tend to end up playing the same summer fests and areas, so there are times they are on stage together.
This is their version of the classic "Orange Blossom Special", recorded at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco, CA:

OK, ANNDI and DANA you will each be receiving a copy of the Woodfish EP in the mail in the next week.
TURNBABY andSTARR copies of the CD from KaiserCartel are on the way to both of you!
ENJOY.............
BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is my favoritest Holiday OF THE YEAR!
HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ghosts and goblins, witches and warlocks, bats and black cats, blood and gore and scares and haunts...AND Michael Myers...Man I LOVE Michael Myers!
OH...don't play the audio bars...you are warned.... Dooooon't Plaaaay The Auuudddiiioooo Pllllaaaayyyyyerrrrrsssssss
(Did you hear my spooky voice saying that? heheheh)
You Played it didn't you?
My good friend from high school, Rich and I would go see the Halloween movies whenever they came out.
Now, you might not remember, but the first 3 came out on Halloween. (After that they tended to suck...) He and I would dress up...not necessarily as Michael Myers, but in some ghoulish outfits. I even made a stump hand that had a hacksaw blade coming out of it and would push the $5
(yup movies were like $5 back in the olden days - you know , when we walked 10 miles to school up hill each way with only cardboard shoes on our feet... OK, I am losing track here)
Where the heck was I...
OH YEAH, I would push the hacksaw blade through the $5 bill when we got to the box office and freak the crap out of the person selling tickets. One year I freaked this young girl out so much the manager was called and I had to remove the stump and blade and put it in the car before we were let into the theater...what a buzz kill...OH and we were pretty buzzed when we went...
Yup she sounded like that!
Then when Matt was young I would always try and scare he and his friends... I do have a rule that they must be about 9 or older to really scare though.
When we lived in Massachusetts in the apartment complex, I put on ratty old clothes..stuffed straw in the sleeves..gloves..one of my collection of horror masks and went and stood in a public area. Of course a group came alone (including Matt) and all stood around trying to figure out if it was a person or fake.
Finally, one brave soul came close enough and pushed on my chest. I fell straight backward onto the ground (YEAH IT HURT - but all great pranks involve some pain)...they all laughed saying ..."oh man it is fake.." about 20 seconds later, I began to rise off the ground...
They scattered yelling and screaming like crazy and all I did was...
"bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha"
Speaking of Matt...he sent me a pix via his cell phone of his costume this year...his interpretation of Heath Ledgers "Joker"...damn the boy is a chip off the old block!
But where did he get my hair! (Had to say it before one of you wisea**es did!)
I am planning on dressing tonight and going over to Nancy's house. She knows, but neither of the boys do. I told them I have this stuffed dummy and was planning to set it up out front to hold the candy...hehehehehehe
Last week, Nancy, Peter, some of Peter's friends and another couple and I went into Memphis to a haunted house called Nightshade Manor and it was way cool. For $12 ($10 if you brought two cans of food for the Food Bank), you got a pretty cool scare. Now I love to be scared, so I was laughing the whole time and had three sets of hands gripping my jacket the whole time.
I warned YOU!
In 2006 I put up a list of some of the best Haunted Houses in the US, now I know it is late for this, but you can take notes if you live near any of these places to go get your SCARE on next year...
Monster Mountain(Hendersonville, Tennessee)COUCH NOTE:not a house a trail through the woods!
Y'all Have fun tonight...and watch out...don't go near that house...I hear it is haunted...
OH NO...now you did it!!!!!!!!
COACH UPDATE:Bruce Springsteen has a HALLOWEEN TREAT on his website HERE
HAVE GREAT WEEKEND Y'ALL!
OH...and If you really want to be scared, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE IN THIS VIDEO and then take the consequences... and KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT for the next four years... because you will have given up your right to complain...

Yes, I know I promised a review of "Where The Light Is - John Mayer Live in Los Angeles" today, but to be honest, I have not given the CD a fair enough listen to make honest comments. I have listened to the first CD all the way through, but have not really had the opportunity to give CD 2 a real close listen.
Y'all know that I will not do something half way. So I ask your indulgence and let me spend the weekend, listening and making notes.
I will be Turnbaby's Guest on her BTR Show "Turnbaby Talks" on Sunday evening 8:00pm Eastern, 7:00pm Central, 6:00pm Mountain and 5:00pm Pacific...the rest of the world, well y'all are gonna have to figure that out!
The subject will be food---cooking, favorite food stories, and she has even threatened some Foodie QuidProQuo. I look forward to it. My last time on as a guest and not just a caller was the day before New Year's Eve when darlin' Nancy and I were sitting at her kitchen table.
Unfortunately, this time I will only be on the phone.
Check us out..bring your food stories and questions...I will tell all..well except the complete recipe for my GRAVY - I said gravy Mary!
bwahahahahahaahaha
For today..I received this clip from Cousin Joyce. This is a great clip from the hey-day of "The Tonight Show", when Johnny Carson was on target every single night and his guests were two drinks past DUI...
No hiding here...they did not put the booze in coffee cups (Well Bob Hope uses a beer stein it looks like)...and everyone had a cigarette going the whole time - as a matter of fact that fact is what makes this clip an instant classic..watch for it...
Y'all have a great weekend...hope to hear from you Sunday and I will be here Monday with the review...
We will give you a taste from the Mayer Album...this is "STOP THIS TRAIN"
I got into blogging to express myself. It has led me to sharing my life, my passion for food, my fiction and my love of music.
Music On The Couch is a passion for me. Sharing "Musicians You Should Know" and helping those who appear on the show to grow their audience.
