Motown/Tamla
From 1970, the song was a series of firsts for the 20-year-old Wonder; the first single Mr. Wonder produced on his own, and the first to feature his female backup singing group WONDERLOVE.
This song also marked Mr. Wonder's first Grammy nomination. The award went to Ronald Dunbar and General Johnson for writing the Clarence Carter song "Patches".

Hi Bond,
Thank you for your visit to my blog. The more the merrier.
Due to the beauty of time differences ( I'am near Paris), I came in a little late.
BUT... Very happy to read your words and peace, with the music of the great Stevie as I write this :)
Different religions, different doctrines... I respect that one person may not have the same beliefs as I do.I like this quote that descibes religions as :
" Different paths leading to the same God".
And yes, the Golden rule never goes out of style...
You take care and see you again.
For some reason I have never been a big Stevie fan. I do however think the song "Patches" written by those two guys you mentioned is pretty damnn good. I have a version of it by B.B King. Cheers!!
ok.. so where is it? hmm?? sheesh!
BARBARA: I am glad you visited The Couch...thank you for your kind words...I also like that quote
MATT-MAN: Well we might have to accommodate you my friend...
ANNDI: It will be here tomorrow...no doubt..give you the weekend to study it and try to recreate it... hehehehe
OH and SMOOCH
Unlike Mateo, I actually like Stevie Wonder, and I remember rushing out to purchase Songs in the Key of Life as soon I had the money. I love the harmonica on "Isn't She Lovely."
Can't wait to see the gravy and lasagna video. Should prove to be most informative and entertaining!
SONGBIRD: Well Mateo is Mateo...LOL
Informative maybe...entertaining (you laughing hysterically at my fumbling and bumbling...MOST LIKELY!!)
Stevie's okay but I am still pissed about them giving him the Oscar for "I Just Called To Say I Love You" when it should have gone to Phil Collins for "Against All Odds"--just sayin'
I can't wait to see the 'gravy' makin'. YUM
Smooch
I'm a selective Stevie fan. Love the harmonica on Isn't She Lovely. Singer, songwriter, musician - the man is talented, no doubt.
Only 37 days until my vacation. I'll never make it.
Looking forward to the gravy videos.
I absolutely LOVE Stevie Wonder!! Love him!!!!!
And you should have tasted my homemade Lasagna Sunday night. Was the very best EVER... or so I was told.
SMOOCHES~
cooking stories...nice
actual videos....great.
but the real question is....are you going to share the recipe???
TURNBABY: I would suggest you let it rest...he won, Phil lost...it is over...
Smooch
TRAVIS: Harmonica on that song is smooth...tomorrow
DIXIE: WOO HOOO she LURVES him!
Well invite me next time..SMOOCH
KATHERINE: Well if you follow along closely, you will be able to recreate it... but I do not have amounts..it is all a taste thing dear.
No, laughing hysterically while watching videos would be me at Mateo's site. Watching you making gravy would be a different experience altogether.
I'm just sayin'...
I'm ready to count the mmmms and ahhhhs.. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Be careful what you wish for.. you never know just how good the gravy I'd make might be.
SONGBIRD: let's hold all comments until AFTER you have seen it...LOL
ANNDI: And you KNOW there are many of them...hehehe
Hey, if by watching the video more people can learn to prepare kick-a&& gravy the real way..that will only benefit the world! bwahahahahahahaha
NEVER!!! ;-)
I can't wait to make the gravy Sunday!
I do make my own pizza sauce--it's yummy!
YES..now let it go....you can not change history....Stevie beat phil's a&&
Gonna set up your lap top and follow along....LOL
hee hee NOPE not gonna do it!!;-)
I'll watch and see how you do it once through. i am a very quick study.
Smooch
**Waddles in, wearing a bib, and sits down with a knife and fork** Okay, I'm ready. Bring on the lasagna!!!!:P
a splendid talent. Oh and Stevie Wonder is good too
Waiting patiently for lasagna....
I saw Mr. Wonder in 1973 at Eastern CT State College - what a showman! Of course, Signed Sealed etc. was around in my 45s collection in the summer of '70. Later, I really enjoy 'Don't you worry about a thing'. It's amazing how Stevie got full creative control from Barry Gordy at age 21...
Stevie is one talented dude. I thought I heard he is doing some new music or somthing...Oh ya he is doing a new tour with his daughter.
