Last night on the Dr. Blogstein Radio Happy Hour, we were privileged to speak with Mr. Shant Kenderian. This man has lived an incredible life. Born in Iraq of Christian Armenian decent, he immigrated to the U.S. with his mother when he was 15 years old.
The summer before his senior year in high school he decided to visit his father in Iraq. ONE WEEK later, the Iran/Iraq War began and the borders were closed trapping Mr. Kenderian in Iraq. He continued his education until, with no options left, he was forced to join the Iraq military.
He survives that war and tries to get back to his home in the US, but the borders remain closed and Iraq invades Kuwait forcing Mr. Kenderian back into the navy. The trials he goes through, eventually becoming taken prisoner by US troops.
Imagine, being a Christian Armenian who grows up living in Moslem Baghdad, you immigrate and became a permanent resident of the United States, you go to visit your father and end up spending the next ten years trapped in a world out of control.

Oven chips are fries that you cook in the oven. Our chips are chunkier than your fries generally. They're usually low in fat so good... no, they're better for perpetual dieters. I don't really like them much but I like bad jokes and I asked my boyfriend to pick something he likes and he said 'oven chips'. So Bad Jokes & Oven Chips it is!
