- 7:20 PM - The Jerry Lee Lewis Band hits the stage...
- The two guitar players (one not shown here) each sing a song.
- The bass player begins Wooley Booley
- A third of the way through the MC comes out and gives the slashing throat sign - Jerry lee is ready to come out on stage
- Jerry Lee, with the help of his handlers makes his way to the piano
- During the second song J.L calls out to the guitarist to do a solo
- The wrong guitarist starts to play and J.L. whips his head around and angrily points to the other guitarist.
- About two songs later J.L. stops and yells, "I am here to play music not watch you fight!" He then gets up and starts to leave the stage. his handlers calm him down and he begins to play again.
- Another song and J.L. stops again and yells "If you want to fight join the army!" and tried to walk off again. He is calmed down and finishes his set.
- He was HOT!

- 10:45 PM (or so) - The Allman Brothers take the stage and just make the night a total success.
- They played for over 2 hours and just were on fire.
- Warren and Derek reminded me of the Dickie Betts/Duane Allman Duo.
- Warren is very lively, while Derek stands stock still and just lets his fingers fly across the fretboard. His slide ability is almost as wonderful as Duane was...a true prodigy, touring since he was 11 years old...If you get a chance SEE HIM
- Jaimo and Butch Trucks (Derek's uncle) are still two of the tightest drummers in the business.
- Greg is looking great and his voice was crystal clear.
Greg Allman - Keyboards; Warren Hayes - Guitar;
Derek Trucks - Guitar; Oteil Burbridge - Bass;
Butch Trucks - Drums; Jaimo - Drums; Marc Quinones - Percussion

The night ended around 1:00 AM.
Saturday was beautiful and we got there as the gates opened at 1:00 PM
We spent the day in the "Blues tent" and got to see:
The Daddy Mack Blues Band with Mack Orr on lead guitar. Hot Hot Hot
Then history took the stage...David "Honeyboy" Edwards, one of the last living links to Robert Johnson.
Honeyboy was there the night Robert Johnson drank the poisoned whiskey that killed him! This guy can still, at the age of 92. After his set, he sat on the side of the stage and spoke with everyone who came up and signed everything given to him...PURE LIVING BLUES HISTORY!
Then, next on stage was Alvin "Youngblood" Hart. This young blues guitarist just caused sparks off of his guitar. A Memphis boy, he did a tremendous set.
The Ryan Shaw took the stage. He came out and did an accapella version of "A Change Is Gonna Come" and we were really excited. He was more gospel then R&B and including a 10 minute version of "If I had a hammer." (Thought that was a little much - IMHO)
We left the blues tent and headed over to see our last act of the day and the weekend...
Taj Mahal. Taj was on fire and had the crowd going crazy from the first note to the last.
A beautiful weekend of weather... an incredible weekend of music....
