That's Les Paul...know that guit anywhere...lemme think for a sec...
Artist: Les Paul & Mary Ford
Song: Bye Bye Blues
Performers: I'm pretty sure Les and Mary were the only two...
First Album: Bye Bye Blues
I was exposed to Les by my dad, who played the mandolin. My ex-FIL was a Les Paul fanatic...I'm pretty sure I have this album recorded to a cassette tape somewhere...
Another good one, Vinny!!! Thanks!!
Hugs,
Pia
*sticks out bottom lip and pouts* I can't hear it at work......
Vince darling.. didn't have a chance to visit soon enough.. I'm sure someone has guessed this.. but.. Les Paul and Mary Ford had a wonderful working and personal relationship. His impact on Rock and Roll.. well.. is legendary and she of the sweater sexiness, a smooth and lovely voice. It was a beautiful and very successful collaboration.
Nice blast from the past dear.
Bye Bye Blues.. beautiful.
Got a chance to see the Les Paul display in the RRHF.. and he was, well is, a true genious.
And ain't it grand he's still going strong!
Totally stumped!
I am going to jump right in because it looks like fun. It sounded like the Andrews Sisters to me and the song was Bye Bye Blues. Didn't anybody else try it?
I don't think your blogger likes me. My comment got rejected. I think that's the Andrews Sisters, and the song is Bye Bye Blues. Is that it? K, bye for now.
Never can get this stuff...but love listening.
Thank you for another informative lesson.
:D
I way too late today =)
But it is never too late to enjoy your great choice of music! Especially when it´s Bye Bye Blues by Les Paul (Lester William Polsfuss) and Mary Ford (Iris Colleen Summers), which was released in 1952 on the "Album" Bye Bye Blues... I guess. As far as I can remember...
xoxoxo,
Sanni
How about some Jimmy Buffett? lol
