Sometimes I think we spend a little too much effort trying to devalue ourselves by asking too many questions that may not be entirely relevant. While the Youtube presentation is certainly thought provoking, I'm not sure that it has much relevance.
Our daughter was born in June of '76, but she was never what you would consider a Devil Woman. Thanks for sharing a golden oldie with us.

It's a good thing my 5 year old is a computer whiz kid, cos Mommy definitely is NOT! My techie friend let B-man install the new hard drive in my laptop, btw, and it works perfectly. (I know, I know, but he's 5!) Now he shows all his friends the computer that he "built" ... LOL
I loved Cliff Richard back in the 80's. This is a great tune. He also recorded a couple of great duets with Sarah Brightman (Phantom of the Opera) and Olivia Newton-John (Xanadu). Thanks for reviving a wonderful memory! (and no! I'm not telling. :P)
Some of the numbers were not about technology. They were about the world, China and India. I was looking beyond the content. Did we really need that video to tell us the speed at which technology is evolving? I doubt it.
One of the things the video tells me is that with the leaps and bounds, the increasing information out there, the ease of connection between people on opposite sides of a planet, it might assist in ushering an era where we are more open to each other. Technology as a tool of "rapprochement" versus what people said in the beginning, that it would dehumanize us.
President Obama and his team seem to have great hopes for using technology to keep America wired in and connected to their government, should they chose to be.

I'm not too sure which post to comment on since I've been gone for awhile. But, it was good to catch up a little...hope all is well.
I did catch the cholesterol mention...mine is still out of control even on meds. Not too sure what they're going to give me next.

when I was about six I stood in a HUGE room at IBM with my dad looking at their state of the art mainframe system. My little laptop out preforms the behemoth hands down.
what the video doesn't address is the technology already created which is not for public consumption....that is the real stuff.
