And it is almost here
Shopping is complete - wait, are you kidding me? No last minute trips to the mall on Christmas Eve to run over little blue-haired ladies and to curse at a**-hats in the parking lot?
How can this be the season of joy without those things?
Dang internets...taking away all my fun as I scroll the pages on my computer clicking BUY BUY BUY.
But in the same vein, the internets are laughing at me, as the money is not coming out of my pocket...heck, it is all virtual, right? RIGHT? RIGHT???
We will be staying home this holiday. Going to miss the family at this time of year, but will be trying to get them all to Memphis for Christmas 2012...now to build that guest house on the back 40. WAIT!? We have a back 40? Well, no and even if we did, probably would not be building a guest house on it.
Nancy is away until late Thursday, early Friday. I have off Friday and Monday., then work Tues, Wed, and Thursday. Then off Friday and Monday and then winging my way to California on the 3rd.
Dang Phfrankie, why are you so dang far from Long Beach!

We will be at our local mall on Saturday night...but not for last minute shopping. It's our annual tradition of people watching. We love it.
My holiday this year is confined to just this weekend. We're way too busy at work. And I have to work on 12/31 as it has been declared a shipping day. Go figure.
But I'll pick up some comp time in January, so actually it will all come back to me.
