Though his actual birthday was Friday
today we celebrate the life of one
of our greatest Americans

Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)
This is the "I Have Been To The Mountain Top"
speech he gave at the Mason Temple, the
world headquarters of the Church of God in Christ
on April 3, 1968, the evening before he was
murdered by the coward James Earl Ray.

...thank you very much for this...
The "I've been to the mountaintop" speech might have been his best.
that speech always gives me a chill
"and though I might not get there with you ..."
Peace
PHFRANKIE: You are welcome Sir
JAY: I think so also and many people would have posted the "I Have A Dream", so I wanted to remind people of this one
DIANNE: It is remarkable indeed.
He was truly a remarkable speaker. His influence can still be felt through these words.
I attended a wonderful annual celebration of King's life yesterday at a local church. The guest preacher was truly inspirational.
