Leaving for work the other morning I looked up into the sky and just loved the way the clouds looked. Of course, my camera was at home (I KNOW...TAKE IT EVERYWHERE!), so out came the cell cam and I snapped off these three photos...Very intense sky I would say...
Then I played with the first photo and came up with these three interpretations. In the first I just posterized the image. In the second I went in and rendered some clouds to tone down the flare from the sun on the right and then used that to colorize the shot red.
Two of my favorites...from Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen. I believe I have told the story where the radio station hosted them in concert in Rochester and after the show the Commander (George Frayne), and a couple of the boys from the band retired to my dorm room where we caused numerous cumulus clouds to form. I ended the night the proud owner of one of the Commanders small cigars.
Now known as The Commander Cody Band, you just have to love a bunch of guys who bill themselves as "dopers drunks & everyday losers", and used to have pedal steel guitar player who was known as the "West Virginia Creeper". Anyone know his real name? And no googling...just yes or no...sheesh!

These are both fun songs! One player, two songs..."Hot Rod Lincoln" and "Smoke That Cigarette".
OH HECK-A-DOODLE...because I DO HAVE IT...I am adding a third song. The original of the second song...by John's daddy...Mr. Woodward Maurice "Tex" Ritter.

For a cell phone camera, those are outstanding. The sky can provide some great photo opportunities when you least expect it.
Hose are some awesome pictures! I love clouds like that. Ours are like being wrapped in cotton batting. Bleh.
When I was in college a DJ friend of mine loved that band. That brought back memories. Have a great weekend!
I can dig it baby. Have a faboo weekend Vinny. Cheers!!
Those are great pics, esp. for a cell camera!
Hot Rod Lincoln is one of Hubby's favorite songs... but then again, so is one called "The A$$Hole Song". LMAO!!
I have the same birthday as John--both June 1.
I LOVE both of those songs.
The 'John' I am referring to is Johnny BOnd who had the big hit with HRL in 1960
Not quite an angry sky, but more than a bit perturbed, I'd say.

Hot Rod Lincoln is one of my all-time favorites. Great song choice for Friday Vinster.
Cell phone cameras have come along way haven't they?! This is a beautiful shot. I love it when the sky is filled with with those washboard type clouds. Very dramatic effect you've added with the color as well.
Nice job, Bond.
I am so glad you're playing along with us. What a wonderful addition you are. :)

JAY: One of mine also...enjoy the weekend Sir
TISHA; Thanks for the welcome...I might not be there every Friday, but I am looking up more now a days!
Pretty pics, Vinny. My favorite is the third unaltered one - looks a bit like a fried egg to me. Of course, that could just be because it's suppertime and I skipped lunch. Have a great weekend, hon!
COCO: Thank you dear...Have a wonderful weekend
I love the clouds ~~ those are great shots for a cell phone camera. I can't seem to master my cell cam. I like what you did with the shots, especially the pink!!
I'm about to listen to Tex Ritter...you have a great weekend too, Vinny!
woops, never mind. I saw his pic and thought it was Tex singing.
Ralph loves "Hot Rod Lincoln."
...me and The Commander go way back...how in the world can one not love the guy?...
The cloud formations appear to me as whitecaps do over the oceans. The appearance of a light chop, from a boat or plane. fasten seat belts!
Commander Cody does a great 'Bet me Daddy Eight to the Bar'. That song adds a country twang to excellent big band swing!
Love those clouds. We get some amazing formations out here too.
Enjoy your weekend!
Stunning cloud shots.

Cell phone shots always surprise me at the great quality they produce and these images you shot here Vinny is a great example of that. Nice Job and have a great weekend!!
Loving the cloud photos - such depth! And the originals are my favorite - mother nature makes no mistakes *wink*
A sky full of pillows, Vin! Gorgeous! Those clouds have a specific name don't they? Cirrus? :)
Ooooh yeah! Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful shots! I love cloud photos.
