Taken within the last three weeks, this was at Nancy's, sitting on the back porch. I just thought the sky looked majestic. The clouds in shades from white to black...the sun reflecting in them...the sky a rich blue...Hope you likey...(and you know clickie to biggie)

Did you happen to catch that every player in Major League Baseball wore the number 42 yesterday to honor the day that Jack Roosevelt "Jackie" Robinson played his first major league game in 1947, making his debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers against the Boston Braves at Ebbets Field.
Over the past few years, one player on the team got to wear 42. This year, everyone wears it. The #42 was retired by MLB a few years back and only players who were wearing the number at the time got to keep wearing it. I know Mariano Rivera, the Yankees closer, feels honored to be allowed to wear Jackie's number. Nice job MLB...you done good this time!

I am having some troubles with one of my Canon A-1s. Actually, I am having a problem with either one of the bodies or the lens on that body, so this weekend, I will mix up the lenses and see what transpires. I hope it is nothing major. The other body seems to be working just fine.
But I lost some shots I had taken recently. I have them, but they are extremely grainy and I am comfuzzled. But HECK-A-DOODLE!!!!!! I will figure it out.
I have been thinking about starting a fund for a new digital...I am having fantasies about the things I could do with the Canon SX1 IS a new model out recently.

IF you're thinking about a SX 1 IS, you might as well go all the way to a digital SLR and spring for a Canon Rebel EOS.
I do think Canon makes the best point and shoot digital cameras in the business and I love the swivel LCD screen. My wife has a Canon A620. I use a SX 3 IS at the office and love it as well. The SX 3 is a predecessor to the SX 1 and does not have a hot shoe for a separate flash.
You might check out http://www.dpreview.com just to see what they think. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the SX 1, I just think you're ready to leave the minor leagues behind and join us up here in the Big Show.
I'm also thinking of upgrading in the near future--I love my camera but I need to move forward.
Now I have an Elton John song in my head---This Song Has No Title Just Words And A Tune
My camera was free! It's just a little bitty Nikon Cool Pix L3. But it takes good enough pics for me.
Good luck with your camera fund!
Oooooo, buy me a new camera, Daddy!
I have been having endless fantasies about a Nikon
love the sky shot, the tree tops are wonderful
the last baseball photo, with the red numbering and the players arms behind their backs is so touching - really beautiful - I'm glad they did that
have a heck-a-doodle of a weekend BondMeister - go get all squirmy over something more sexy than a camera
...looooooves me some Benny!....
DRILLERAA: Yup yup yup...checked out the others at your suggestion and yup yup yup...need to move up the step
TUNBABY: Moving forward is good...LOL
TRAVIS: If it works for you then it is the best camera in the world
SONGBIRD: you called me Daddy!!!!
DIANNE: I am a Canon guy at heart...Thanks on the sky shot...it was a grand gesture by MLB...OK, I promise squirmy without a CAMERA
PHFRANKIE: Thought of you when I loaded it dude.
I typically use a shoe box with a pin hole on the front and photographic paper on the back. It's hell being Amish. Cheers!!
I will skip the camera stuff since I know nothing. I do know photography and that photo is great! Good job on Jackie R. Enjoy your weekend...
Love the sky shot.
I am among the Canon faithful as well. I don't think you can go wrong with the SX1 IS or moving up to DSLR, although I don't think any of their DSLR models have video capability.
Good luck.
MATT-MAN: You are so wise that way
BUD: Thanks...have a grand weekend Sir
SOUTHERN: Thanks. I thin the DSLR is where I do want to be. I don't need the video capability, I have a digital video cam already...
Cool picture. I want to upgrade my camera but figure I'll probably wait another year or so.
Ummmm ... Vinny? You don't want me squirming in my chair *wink*
I'm going to start calling you "Renaissance Bond." A man of many talents, for sure.
I'm enjoying listening to Benny as I comment..I have a newfound respect for clarinetists now that our daughter's boyfriend has come into our lives. He is fantastic. I wish you could hear him play, Vinny.
Your sky photo is wonderful. Very dramatic.
I also like the last photo of the players wearing number 42. They seem to be looking toward Heaven.
My dream camera is a Nikon D300 one of Nikon's best of course the Nickor lenses come for a pretty penny. Will work for Camera!
