Link at bottom should now work.
Happy Monday all. First off, let me say that HECK-A-DOODLE!!!! Did I have a brain cramp! I just realized last evening that I have not sent out the Chris Huff to JULIE of "Julie's Jewels & Junque" and the Patti Rothberg to JOHN H of "Altjiranga Mitjina".
Sorry guys. I am on my way to Minnesota, but will be back later this week and will do my best to get to the post office, but Saturday the latest.
This week, we selected an artist that we think is different from those we have featured lately.
The band is SILENTREATMENT and they list their influences as Fuel, Our Lady Of Peace, Prince, Jellyfish and Matchbox Twenty and have been compared to Fuel, Three Doors Down and The Matchboxers...
From their bio, we learn:
THE SILENTREATMENT began in 2005, when Anthony Giamusso began searching for bandmates to help create his musical vision. By the turn of 2006, Giamusso joined forces with Sam Chiarelli, and the nucleus of the band was formed. They recruited longtime friend, Michael Sharkey, to play keyboards for the group and provide them with an exciting host of musical options.
“We knew we were onto something,” comments Giamusso. “We all had very similar musical tastes, but approached music from very different directions.” Giamusso tracked down his former bandmate, drummer Mark Lieback, to lay down the funk and groove on drums. Later, Giamusso was able to lure bassist Stephen Martin away from pharmacy school and into the fold of THE SILENTREATMENT. “Man, we were so lucky to get Mark and Stephen. They were our number one choices,” Giamusso said. “They bring talents far beyond their instruments.”
In the spring of 2007, the young band caught the attention of the management firm Centerline Artists, and soon after found themselves surrounded by a strong and capable team of professionals. In November 2007, THE SILENTREATMENT entered the studio to begin recording their debut album for Eschelon Records, SINFUL ACTS OF AUDIO. “Things just happened so fast – it’s dizzying,” says Giamusso.
The songs on SINFUL ACTS OF AUDIO rock and ooze emotion. “We think ’Sinful’ is a damn sexy record,” Giamusso adds. “It really captures the essence of the Band. There are 10 songs full of love, lust and passion that everyone can relate to – regardless of age.”
Determined to make their mark, THE SILENTREATMENT is committed to re-establishing the essence of the true rock show. “People say they’re going to SEE a band in-concert,” says Giamusso, “yet for years, these live shows have been less than eye appealing.” He continues, “We want to bring back the days of the big, exciting rock shows – you know, when audiences were really entertained both sonically and visually. We want our audiences to leave feeling like they got more than they could ever have expected.”
OK, so here are two from the CD Sinful Acts Of Audio. Leave you vote and a comment - if you like the sound, let me know and you could be receiving the CD in your mailbox - OK< style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">"Boogie" and "Sweet Ending"...ENJOY....

A band named Silent Treatment making music. HOw Ironic. Cheers Vinny!!
I guess I haven't been here for a while...love the new template...looks great.
I tried going to your new blog, but the link didn't work for me. :-(
As for the music, not bad. I liked the second song much better than the first. My daughter seemed to enjoy it though. LOL She was dancing around the living room.
Hmm...interesting sound. i don't mind listening to it, I just don't think I'd add it to my collection.
I was unable to open the food blog for some reason.
I really like this band. I have always been a big fan of 3 Doors Down and Matchbox 20, despite being a country girl.
Their sound is very similar. The lead singer has a good twang, distinct sound going.
Thanks for sharing.
I am very impressed with Silent Treatment. I will look for their CD when I am at Best Buy tomorrow.
Have a safe trip.
I'm imagining the people of MinnEEsota loving a guy who says Heck-A-Doodle
that's all I got since I can never play the clips while I have my work software running - Oy!!
Happy Monday
I like them! I checked out their website too. Not band at all.
its pretty darn cold up there...
mangia y'all is the perfect name!
Loving both songs! Great find Vinny!
Cheesy and Americanmetallyrockish with a boy singer sound. Not my bag.
Try not to work TOO hard, Bond. After all, we don't want yuh to keel over and not entertain us with your blogs anymore! Hugs.
The band sounded a bit like something I might have heard in the 80s. I kinda liked it.
I've got the food blog in my reader already. I'm really looking forward to getting food ejamicated by you and Turn!
I really should have unscrambled my brain to get here earlier...LOVE this band, and will definitely be buying some downloads!
