Is it a full moon? Just feeling so off today (Monday)...dealing with frustrations at work...why do people have to always find someone else to lay fault on?
Not that it is me that has the fingers pointed at them, but when the fault is being laid off on others, those laying the blame are not doing their jobs...
OK, excuse me for a momnet here...
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
OK, all better... thanks for waiting...
We found this commercial today and think it is brilliant. This is a commercial for Pepsi which is scheduled to appear during the Super Bowl.
A bit of a back-story first...as we have mentioned, we went to Rochester Institute of Technology.
Affiliated with R.I.T. was The National Technical Institute For The Deaf (N.T.I.D.)...
During our freshman year they were building a new dorm for the Deaf Students. When it opened, it was pretty interesting. Every room had a set of strobe lights. One was for the door bell, one for the fire alarm. One night the alarm went off and we sat and watched the 'light show' as the 10-story building lit up like a Christmas tree...
In almost every class, there was an interpreter for the Deaf Students.
When we pledged TKE Fraternity, we were the first pledge class of any fraternity on campus with Deaf Students. We pledged with three Deaf Students. It made our task of "being one group" more difficult.
We had to sign to them when anyone was asked a question. Whether the original person to answer was right or wrong, everyone needed to give the same answer...We did learn to sign back then for that and also, because when we were a Freshman the ratio of guys to girls was about 9 - 1 and most of the best looking women were deaf... We have retained some of the ability, but have forgotten much of it over the years.
This is a big step for a major company, and to spend the money on a huge event like the Super Bowl is a big gamble...It will be interesting to see the reaction in homes and bars around the country when the game goes to commercial and there is complete silence...
Enjoy...
This is the making of the commercial and is very interesting...

But, seriously, could anyone else see the little balloon thingy over Cheney's head with his thoughts that kept repeating "Damn you, why didn't you come hunting with me so I could have been President?"
No really....
No really....
Now Bond, as far as Cheney goes you are forgetting 2 words.
Plausible deniability. Everyone knows his hand is up George's butt. Have you ever seen Dick drink and George talk at the same time? All the power now with 50% less impeachability!
Im going to download that Carlos Santana music always enjoyed the awesome guitar playing. thanks for sharing Vin!! The upload time on that must of took awhile at least it has for me on lifelogger for some reason.
STARR;IGHT: LOL..yeah, that is true... I thought he might have his hand somewhere else last night behind that desk...
ROGER: Glad you enjoyed the tuneage...It actually did not take long...we should talk about your downloading...
Clever commercial. I think some folks may think there is something wrong with their sound when they see it. Cheers!!
When I was in college, I always thought they should have offered American Sign Language as a language option. I would have studied that instead of French.
I've never been much of a Pepsi fan - primarily because of their commercials years ago that focused solely on young people.
This is an interesting step for them. I hope it goes over well.
And that Santana song is great.
What an interesting commercial. I like it.... but I'm still a Coke fan :-)
""Over/Under on Dr. Mark and Professor Val being hung up on: 7 minutes.""
Hmmm I should lay down a side bet and call in myself--I think I hold the record for him hanging up.
MATT-MAN: OH I am sure that will happen
SONGBIRD: In many instances it would be more practical
RWA: I LOVE MY PEPSI
TURNBABY: Your over/under is 46 seconds
108: KYRA...interesting how people are a fan of one or the other...personally, I am a Pepsi fan
Love that Pepsi is doing something like this. COOL! I am a Mom of a disabled child and all about finding ways to mainstream when possible.
Don't worry Vin, eve the experts can't help Radio Jesus.
Off to TravelPod -- it beats doing the dishes!
Hey man-
First, let me say that what you guys did with the frat is amazing. I'd like to think that my friends both at WTIT and in college were as hip. We were not. We marched for peace. We stopped school after Kent State. But we didn't improve the small things that you guys did. The American School for the Deaf in in WTIT's original home, West Hartford, CT. My property (1st wife, 2nd home) bordered that school. So, I appreciate the commercial, but even more so you and your frat. As we said in the day, "Right on!"

I sure wish us Canadians could see the Super Bowl commercials you American peeps get to see. Alas, we do not. Nice thing about the Internet, though, is that we can just download and watch 'em! :D
What a great thing your fraternity did! LOVE the commercial, & would love to hear how many parties STOPPED to see what was wrong with the TV - LOL. Brady's learning sign language now...
LOVE Santana's music, had not heard this one - awesome!!
