I mentioned in the comments section that on one of the teams I coached we decided that a coach could not talk to his son in the dugout during the game. Another coach could talk to your son, but not you...It made it easier to not make it about an individual's son.

FBI agents arrested 27-year-old Kevin Cogill on Wednesday morning on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. Cogill appeared in court in the afternoon.
Federal authorities say Cogill posted nine unreleased Guns N' Roses songs on his Web site in June. The songs were later removed.
In later posts, Cogill wrote that the FBI had questioned him and asked his readers if any of them knew a good attorney. He was represented Wednesday by a federal public defender.
According to an arrest affidavit, Cogill admitted to agents that he posted the songs on his Web site. Prosecutors said Wednesday the leak could result in a "significant" financial loss for the band".

Cogill will not face any special Internet restrictions, but was ordered to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 17.

Hey on the good music front...we talked about the AC/DC DVD to be released in September. Well today the first single from AC/DC's newest album Black Ice – “Rock 'N' Roll Train” – debuts.
The band’s first studio album in eight years will be released by Columbia Records on October 20th.
Black Ice features 15 new tracks from brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd. The album was produced by Brendan O’Brien at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver , BC.
The band is set to kick off its first world tour since 2001. It begins in late October, kicking off in Wilkes Barre, PA and will last 18-months. As of this writing no other details are available, but I suspect they will be forthcoming with the release of the single.
Black Ice will be sold in the U.S. exclusively at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club retail locations at the special price of $11.88. Online, the CD will be available with free shipping and handling via the band’s website, AC/DC.com, and will also be available at WalMart.com and SamsClub.com

This seems to be a trend in the music industry, to sell the product in exclusive outlets. The Eagles "Long Road Out of Eden" was also sold only through Walmart and Sam's Club locations. That can't make Borders, Virgin Record stores and other outlets very happy.

Often times the Feds seem more interested in going after people on behalf of big corporations like the recording industry than they are real criminals.

I heard about this in the news this morning. And we're all saying the same thing...Guns 'n Roses?
If I read this correctly, the guy was arrested for publicly posting unreleased material that belonged to musicians, without their permission. This was material that was not available for purchase to the general public. That's a bootleg and that's illegal, isn't it? Digital piracy is still illegal, isn't it?
If I've got that correct, then what difference does it make who the band was? It's stealing. Whether we think Axl Rose is a joke or not, the tracks belong to him and he has the right to decide when and to whom they can be released.
I would be pissed if someone other than myself posted any of my manuscripts on a blog for anyone to read, without my permission. It's my work and nobody has a right to display it for the public without my permission.
I've just been through this kind of thing at my company with sensitive information being released to the public, without our permission.
We own our work as artists, gang. It sucks when somebody doesn't respect that.
