A New Week....

Hope y'all had a great holiday weekend....

Darlin' Nancy and I had a most wonderful weekend. Friday night we had a little picnic and watched a real fine fireworks display. I took some photos and will share when I get them back (they are analog..old fashioned film)...

Saturday we did some chores and then had a nice antipasto and some home made buffalo wings while watching "Bonneville" and "Vantage Point". Really enjoyed both films. "Vantage Point" is one of those flicks that you have to watch carefully as it repeats the events over and over from different perspectives.

Yesterday was a recovery day with a big old breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast and then we just relaxed until she had to head home to be there when her boys came home from a weekend with their dad.

I was unable to travel back to NY for the graduation party for my niece and nephew, Candice and Joseph. That was sad, but I just could not afford the flight.

Matt did go out for the day and had a wonderful time with his cousins. I heard from Mom Joan and Dad Vince that he is now a man and not a boy anymore...Nice to hear, but also sad that I do not get to see him enough. He is supposed to be coming down in August and I can not wait. Mom and Dad get to Memphis the first weekend in September.

I am working on my Mary/The Teach's Ruby Tuesday photo and also my submission for Roger's Creative Photography contest. I missed both last week because...well because my mind can sometimes be mush!

LOL

How about some music?

From their second album, 1971's RING OF HANDS, this is one of the more interesting tunes on the album..."Lothlorien" showcases the Hammond organ by leader Rod Argent, Russ Ballard on guitar, Jim Rodford on bass guitar and Robert Henrit on drums. Not their best known album, but one that shows their development... Argent.

I can remember the day when a Hammond B-3 was a required instrument in any rock 'n roll party band. You couldn't play Louie Louie without it. I saw the Ruby Tuesday and Creative Photography for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I just may have to join in the fun.
    Have a great day.
