I was introduced to Brad Thor only a year ago and have already read his entire collection. I was privileged to receive an advanced readers copy of his newest adventure and was immediately transported into this incredible story. I did not put the book down until I reached the last page.
Using known facts, Thor crafts an incredibly believable tale.
Thomas Jefferson was deeply involved in trying to negotiate peace treaties with the Barbary Nations during his time as Minister to France and studied the Muslim religion, even owning a copy of the Quran (used by Congressman Keith Ellison when he was sworn into office).
That Muslims who are fanatical about taking over the world for their Religion, believe that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."
The story unfolds quickly and when I was done I actually had to research to find how much was fiction and how much fact.
I could tell more of the thriller, but then you would not have the pleasure of being swept up in the tale Mr. Thor weaves.
The book is out on July 1st...I suggest you buy a copy, find a comfortable place in your home or on the beach or by your pool, turn off your cell phone and enjoy.
This one is definitely worth your time.

So sad about George. I watched so many of his videos yesterday and probably will continue catching some more today.
The Last Patriot sounds real good. At present I'm learning a little more from Scott McClellan of "What Happened" in the White House.
George Carlin influenced far more than one generation and thankfully, with the help of the immese legacy and impressive body of work he has left us with, he will continue to influence generations to come.
Now why are you asking so many questions this early in the morning?
Michael Crichton also uses a great deal of reality is his stories, enhancing the reader's experience.
Is there a Thor book that's good to start with? Is this one it?

I had the pleasure of seeing George Carlin live once. It was a great show.

Am awaiting an email from my library on the Thor book. It's gotten good reviews (not that that always matters, of course!). I'm also enjoying this thriller, Death in Small Doses. It's got lots of action, political extremists and great clashes between the forces of good and evil. The author takes readers on a great journey.
I strongly suggest ant one who enjoyed The Last Patriot to check out Epire of Lies. It's a great new spy thriller about a Christian looking for the last revelation of the Qur'an. You can Check out this review of it
