HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!!
Well, it seems many liked the Video Tuneage Tutelage yesterday,, with the caveat that maybe things this long will not get viewed.
Well to do a Tuneage properly, it would have to be about 10 minutes. Think about it folks, most songs run in the 3-4 minute range. Now 10 minutes would only allow for 3 songs to be used. I guess we could do the Video and then add some songs after it (if we can find a reliable player that is).
One idea I do have is to run these only on Fridays so you, my most wonderful guests, can take the weekend to enjoy.
As Travis suggested, I could also only include pieces of songs on the video, but I am not sure if that is enough to really satisfy my urge to share. So, you see...that is a huge part of this. I do not want to do something half-way. What the hell is the point?
I did think the playing the Wolf's audio over the song and then bringing the song up in volume at the end has some possibilities to include the narrative I was hoping to include along with the music. I do have two new posts in the hopper - so look for a new Tutelage next Friday, the first day of the Beale Street Music Festival. It will either be something I can be proud of...or a total train wreck and you will be the ones to decide!
Now to decide which of the two I will complete. Both are major forces in the Delta Blues. Can you guess who I am thinking about?
Sorry 50 hours later and no word from them after TWO emails...that is pi** poor customer service. All I really want to know is what the error message means because no where on the site does it list the error messages. If it is something I am doing wrong and I can correct it, THEN LET ME KNOW!

David "Honeyboy" Edwards. Saw him at the Beale Street Music Festival last year. He is on his last tour before finally retiring at 93-years young.
Edwards was a friend to the legendary musician Robert Johnson, Edwards was present on the fateful night Johnson drank the poisoned whiskey that took his life.
Folklorist Alan Lomax recorded Edwards in Clarksdale, Mississippi in 1942 for the Library of Congress. He recorded a total of fifteen sides of Edward's music.
The songs included "Wind Howlin' Blues" and "The Army Blues". He did not record again commercially until 1951, when he recorded "Who May Your Regular Be" for Arc Records.
Congratulations to Honeyboy for winning a Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album for Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen: Live in Dallas! The album also featured Pinetop Perkins and the late legends Robert Lockwood Jr and Henry Townsend.

Sorry that I've been around but not reading much. I don't want to skim your posts, and I haven't had time to read them and enjoy them at length.
So, here I am commenting without having read for the past three days. It's been a hectic, stress-filled week since I got back (including the fact that my hot water heater blew up and ruined the garage wall and carpet in my daughter's room - SHIT!).
Still giggling about the jersey.

You hit the nail on the head Vinny. If you want to give your videos the time they need to do them justice, which you do, by the way, they should be up over the weekend so people have time to view the entire clip.

And if I ventured a guess it would be between Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters. Although Son House springs to mind as well as John Lee Hooker do as well. And while I know he was texas blues...someday ya gotta do Lightnin Hopkins!
We can't comment intelligently on the Sean Bell verdict, Vinny, because we weren't in the courtroom. It's just terrible for the policemen (they can be sued in a civil suit) and for the family of Sean Bell.
I'm with Matt-Man ... well ... not with him, but you know what I mean. 10 minutes would seem to be a minimum - anything less wouldn't begin to do Tuneage justice. BTW, I *heart* me some blues!

Hey Bond I left you a message back in your post "Best/Worst Concerts". In answer to your question.
I saw Muddy Waters in a Overhauled two floor barn in Boston, New York in 1977. (A country suburb of Buffalo) The place was called "Belle Star"...it was amazing, the bottom hosted all the entertainment and the top was a balcony to overlook the place. He was there with someone else, I want to say Ted Nugent, but I am not 100% positive. I am going to have to check that out. The tickets were $10.00. I remember I didn't want to go to it, but BF talked me into it. We went in a big group, and I ended up having a memorable experience. I think what made it was the complete difference in the two performers. Muddy got everyone in the mood, and then Nugent blew us all away. That was one cool place. It had couches on the upper balcony, you could go up there and stand and watch the performance over the top.
So many memories...I like coming to your couch bond...you have managed to bring back some very good and forgotten times. Thanks friend.
