Sending Anniversary wishes out to Brother Rich and SIL Cindy on their Silver Anniversary. 25 years of marriage...two beautiful daughters...lots of love.
Funny...the topic of conversation in the office between quite a few people was why the hell they cut away from "Medium" on Monday to tell us we were going to get rained on. We did not even bring it up, yet 5 people all mentioned it at some point in the day, all saying the same thing "what the hell was the reason for cutting away?"
One person did mention that, during the news, they said they would replay "Medium" at like 1:30 am...IF they are going to do that, a scroll along the bottom during the time the show SHOULD be on would be more appropriate.
Anyway, we watched the last 15 minutes sitting at work during lunch. All of the networks now give you that chance on their websites and the best part is...IF there are commercial breaks, they are only 30 seconds and not 2 minutes like on normal TV.

The rules for the *you make my day award* are to re-present it to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blog land. Let them know through email or by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times yourself, and if you do, consider yourself really, really loved.
TEN People? OK, well, as our regular readers know, we normally do not tag people with Memes (It is our way to show Mimi, The Queen Of Memes that she can not imprison us in her dungeon and we can run free), but we will present this to 10 people who we love to death - well at least we love their blogs to death...
DIXIE - Our dear Sugarbaby
JEFF - He is just one cool dude
DRILLERAA - A new friend, but one we feel we have known for years
DANA - She blathers, but we like it
TURNBABY - She is irreverent and very good at it!
STARRLIGHT - This woman is just plain old incredible...
SONGBIRD - How can you not love this woman?
SANNI - Well...she is Sanni-licious!
TUG - Yankee fan, sweet lady, funny chick...
JULIE - Either on her blog or in her emails...she is just one hell of a woman
TOPCHAMP - We love her Brownie updates and just wish she would post more of her playing Trumpet...
We know, that is 11 people, but you see...we LOVE to break rules...

So, Forbes Magazine has listed the best places to live and work...here are the top 25 Metro areas:
We have not played enough LED ZEPPELIN here on The Couch...From what we feel is their best album - Houses Of The Holy. As we were digitizing, we realized how much we have enjoyed these songs since 1973. There is some work still to be done. This album has seen better days and in the end, we may end upjust buying the CD...but we will try and clean the cuts up more. Problem is you begin to lose the 'middle' and things sound hallow.
"Over The Hills And Far Away" - Jimmy Page & Robert Plant
ENJOY...

Aww, shucks! Thank you for the purdy blog award. I was groovin on that and then....
...what for this scary math looking thing in the middle of the page?!!
Eeeep!
Good album I have always been partial to The Rain Song
Happy 25 to Rich and Cindy!
Congrats on the well deserved award.
(lots of places in washington on that list...yes I saw that...)
I know someone who loves Led Zeppelin
Thanks for the pass along, you little rule breaker you.
That's messed up. I am sure that Bagwine, Ohio belongs on the list. Cheers!!
Lemme know if you make it to #25 and we'll do dinner! I feel like a mooch by not having a blog of my own and coming here and posting -- but I do not have the marbles to blog. I barely have the marbles to walk and chew gum. Happy Hump Day!
*pops shirt with Lexington KY on chest*
Hee hee
And thank you for the award sugar. Smooch
I see Boise Idaho is second on the Forbes report, but the Pop. boom going on there is crazy, LA like traffic jams turn your commute home from 20 Min to 3hours. I always hate going there, the light side of being stuck in a traffic jam in Boise? Ya get to enjoy a incredible view while you wait.
Thanks, darlin'. It's difficult not to love you, too!
Wow...the same award from TWO people? Golly gee! I must be special!
STARRLIGHT: I was going to play the Rain Song, but I need to clean it more and it is difficult, as i said because I keep losing the middle tones...Enjoy the award
KATHERINE: Yes, many WA listings there...I wonder who that could be that like LZ...LOL
JEFFB: That's me...rule breaker king
MATT-MAN: It might be on the 'small-town' list...
KB: If I get there, you will get a call...and all are welcome here bloggers and non-bloggers...no worries!
TURNBABY: OH how I knew that shirt would get popped! and you are welcome
ROGER: That may be why it is 2nd...the Pop. boom....
SONGBIRD: Ah shucks and gosh dang...
JULIE: Ummm you must be smooch
I don't care what that list says, you'd have to pay me to live in Idaho or Utah. PAY ME BIG.
I'll stick with my plan for me and #6 ;0
STARR: Well, I think that is why they are on the list, it is worth living there...but ummm nope...I like the east side of the country
Born and raised in SLC Utah and I am here to tell you the t-shirts that say "Welcome to Utah! Please set your clocks back 30 years" are dead on. The Church still has a stranglehold on that state and if you are not Mormon it ain't fun.
It's funny...I popped in "Houses of the Holy" last week after American Idol got me thinking about what song from my birth year I would sing if I were a contestant. I figured I would probably have to do something from that, but couldn't decide which would be the best vocal showcase. I actually gave this some serious thought until I remembered - oh, I can't sing and I'll never be on this show. So then I just did my awesome Robert Plant impression with no one watching.
My favorite Zep CD is still "Physical Graffiti" though.
STARR: Now it all becomes clear how you got to where you are now! LOL..I actually was in SLC a couple of years back... It is not so bad to visit...though the lake is real disappointing now...
BECKEYE: Yeah, I do that all the time (pick out songs I would sing, only to remember that I can not sing a note)...
And are you sure no one was watching? I saw a u-tube video of some woman in her apartment doing Robert Plant and come to think of it...she looks like you!
It sure is Bond. Did you happen to see the old Resort there on Black Rock called Saltaire? My family used to own it. At one point Diamond Jim and the chief of police were the only folks with cars. Never mess with the Greek Mob ;)
OK, not sure...but one day I started to drive out of the city toward the lake (west?) and there was an old resort there that i stopped at. Was that Saltair? Cool pavilion and all.
then I continued driving and the landscape was so barren and i had ummm indulged a tad and it was real weird in a convertible (rental car company was so cool!) and a tad 'realigned' and alone ....
That was it! My Great Aunt married a bootlegger with NY ties. Need I say more :P
It's almost lunar out there. When I married the first time my cousin dragged me out there with a bottle of tequila on the morning of my wedding and made me swear to get a divorce in a year if the husband was still an ass. Booze and the Salt Flats could probably drive someone over the edge.
Don't they do a great mellow lead into their songs and THEN! Awesome.
hello - many thanks for the award! I am chuffed to bits. And please know I'd love to tell you more about gigs I do but I know that I'm identifiable from my blog (coz friends have stumbled across it and emailed me) and I don't want to affect my employability.
I'll post you anything I record though - there's one coming up I think in summer.
Congrats to your Bro and SIL; 25 years is quite the accomplishment! I wish them many, many more.
As to the TV show interruption, all I can say is that sometimes TV station peeps can be stoopid. LOL :P
Happy Quarter of a Century to the lovely couple! And you can never play enough Zep!
STARR: LOL no more need to be said...but just remember, they were just a group of businessmen with a common business interest. LOL
Lunar is a great description...I will admit, it freaked me out a little - so much so that i turned around and went back to civilization!
LU': It is one of their trademarks...
TOPCHAMP: You deserved the award...I certainly understand your not talking about your gigs...no worries, but I do look forward to your posting when you do record.
MERI: stoopid is a good word for it... LOL, I just finished watching the last 15 minutes of CSI:Miami from monday on-line, because when I went to watch on TiVo, they had cut to their weather at the same time!
BUD: No - I was just surprised I hadn't in the past...
You're such a rebel!
I've got Houses of the Holy on cassette. It could be worn out cause I used to play it a lot.
:sniffs:
My 2nd award ever! Thank you!
Where DID my comment on this post go?? I talked about Ft. Collins, the Page/Plant concert I went to, the award...
;-(
Awwww... thank you so much, Vinny! Love ya!
Happy Anniversary to Rich and Cindy!
♥
How did you get out?
I really need a bigger lock.
