So, a few weeks ago, Mimi - Queen Of The Memes - came up with the Message In The Bottle Meme, where you get to take the beautiful picture and add your own words to it....

We have spent the three weeks, dodging Mimi and her meme...We have engineered breakouts in the dungeons....we have baited her at every step...

All in fun, as we wanted to get the new iMac set up before attempting this...

Without further ado - We like that word..ADO....ADO.....ADO.....

And now...the other Meme we have discussed a few times in the last week. So, we are borrrowing this from Travis, who got it from Ian.....

BUT!!!! It was BUD who put this little diddy together...

We have seen it work sometimes...and seen it crash others...

The rules:
1. Put your music player on Shuffle
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER WHAT. (This is in capital letters, so it is very serious.)

1. IF SOMEONE SAYS “IS THIS OKAY” YOU SAY?
“Turn On Your Lovelight” – Taylor Hicks
Well, that is not the circumstance we would use that phrase…

2. WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
“MacArthur Park” – Donna Summer
:::Looks Around:::…nope, no green icing flowing here…

3. WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
“Who’s Making Love” – Johnny Taylor
Nope…We are not like that….neither is our darlin’ Nancy

4. HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
“Darn That Dream” – Valerie Joyce
We cleaned today…but we did not dream about doing it?

5. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
“Queen Of England” – Randall Bramblett
When we are around 6 – for a few weeks maybe…but not now

6. WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
“Crossroads” – Taj Mahal & Ry Cooder
Well, we have experienced more that our share of crossroads ove the last 4 years..but not a motto…we hope!

7. WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
“Any Way You Want It” – Journey
HUH?

8. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR PARENTS?
“Somebody To Love” – Queen
Well…now that one finally makes sense…

9. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
“Falling” – Roy Orbison
Nope…not thinking about losing a love because I cheated…

10. WHAT IS 2+2?
“It’s Bad You Know” – R.J. Burnside
Bueller? Anyone?

11. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
“Elvis Is Dead” – In Living Colour
Is anyone making anything of this?

12. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
“I Don’t Know You” – New Riders Of The Purple Sage
That is not even worth commenting on…

13. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
“Rhythm Of The Saints” – Paul Simon
Nope...no saint here

14. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
“It’s A Beautiful Morning” – The Rascals
la-la-la-la

15. WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
“Falling In Love” – Aerosmith
The title of this song is misleading – as the song is not a story of falling in love, but how it is not a good thing to fall in love…

16. WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
“Li’l Ol’ Groovemaker” – Count Basie
Well, they know I march to my own beat…Sometimes they even think that is a good idea! LOL…kidding…ummm maybe…. hehehehe

17. WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
“Still In Love with You” – Roomful Of Blues
Not sure a first dance is necessary…and not a song of heartache

18. WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
“Starship Trooper" – Yes
I could think of quite a few more appropriate songs…but it is “they” making that decision

19. WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
“Still Within The Sound Of My Voice” – Linda Ronstadt
Well I do like hearing the sound of her voice...yes I do

20. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
“All Things Must Pass” – Beatles
Not really a secret

21. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
“Hold On To Your Hat” – Rolling Stones
Well, when we get together…it can be that way!

22. WHAT SHOULD YOU POST THIS AS?
“Money, Money” – Grateful Dead
Well I need some…but I am not sure asking like that is polite!

hummm.... crash and burned....Well, at least you got a taste of the shuffle on the iTouch...

Have a glorious day!

  36. LOVE your message bottles! I think I'm the only one in the world that doesn't have a ipod or whatever...

  37. SPARKY: Ummm..more like the Grateful Dead..."Turn On Your Love Light" is a song originally written by Dreadric Malone and Joseph Scott. The song was first recorded by blues singer Bobby Bland in 1961, which featured guitarist Wayne Bennett. It earned Bland a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1999, and is listed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll.

In 1964 Van Morrison's Them band often performed this song live at the Maritime Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was a fan's recording of Them performing this song that brought Them to the attention of Dick Rowe and led to a recording contract with Decca Records. It was one of the tracks including on their 1966 album, Them Again.

In 1966, "Turn On Your Love Light" became a staple for the Grateful Dead as part of their live performances. Other artists who have recorded the song include Tom Constanten, Ratdog, Toots Hibbert, Langhorne Slim, and The Blues Brothers.

In 1966, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels had a hit with this song under the title "Let Your Lovelight Shine."

  38. TUG: TY ..well I would not have one if it were not a Christmas present from my brother and sister and their spouses

  39. Unknown Says:
  40. What, you didn't leave your cake out in the rain? Sheesh...

  41. Coco Says:
  42. This is me, trying to catch up. I would do this meme, except I don't have an iPod. Don't even have an mp3 player. I know, I know: come out of the Dark Ages, Coco. Scandalous confession for a music teacher, eh?
