16 Of Your Sparks

  1. Wow, I actually know a majority of those songs and really like them. Does that make me old...like you? [[snort]]

I do take one exception to your list - I love Chicago's "Saturday in the Park," It probably has to do with a memory association, but nonetheless, it remains to this day as one of my favorite Chicago songs.

Great list, Vin - as usual.

  2. Oh, I forgot to say - nice to see you on the weekend!

  3. class of 72, in 72 I was home from Vietnam and on my way to Korea. I do know some of your songs: 2,10,13,14,16,22,23,27,29,37,39 yuk, 40 woo woo,54,65,77,78,

  4. Tug Says:
  5. OMG the memories! Awesome list, & way too many to comment on. But Ben was one of the first songs I learned to play on the piano...I think I still have that Jackson 5 album - hee.

  6. SONGBIRD: I am well-seasoned.. not old... Must be memory association because I hear that song and I wonder how a band that did 25 or 6 to 4 could have come up with dreck like SITP - different strokes...

SARGE: See, now you know how I feel when I read that Sanni turned 18 in 1992! LOL

TUG: Maybe it is the association with the movie.. but that song just makes me shiver with yukkiness...

  7. Travis Cody Says:
  8. It's interesting when you pull lists of music from an entire year. You really get a taste for how diverse music can be.

    I was 8 in 1972 - it was a good year.

  9. Travis Cody Says:

  20. Coco Says:
  21. Lordie, Vin, TWO Van songs in one year??? I die of envy. I'm taking this challenge, too, because I still can't get the music up on the guitar solo meme ... got my picks, though. I just don't want to post it without the music. The music is KEY to my answer.

  22. Bud Fisher Says:
  23. Terrific job & I agree on most of you ratings of the songs.

  24. Unknown Says:
  25. I still love "School´s Out", "Nights In White Satin", "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" and "Rocket Man"... although I was still "elsewhere" in 1972... but I was planned already *LOL*
