Yes, I know I said i would not be posting, but my trip to Chicago got put off. Now I am going tomorrow, so my watching of the American Idol finale may be in slight jeopardy.
I should be home early enough Wednesday to watch it on Tivo, but I am not sure I wil have time to post a review. IF I get to watch tomorrow night, I will go to the business center in the hotel and post my review early Wednesday moring.
This weekend was the WWP Baseball Homecoming. The weather gods were not kind and we had to cancel the 2 early games - the Middle Schools and the HS Freshman game. We were able to play the JV and Varsity game and I have been told the day was successful (I am prejudiced - so I need others to tell me.
It all went off without a hitch once it began. The JV squads played a tight game with the Northern Knights winning. Then we had the ceremonial first pitch thrown by an alumnus from each HS. Alex Katz, class of 2003 from North and Matt Marini, class of 2005 from South. Before you ask, the coaches make the selections!
The game was actually very good. The final score does not tell the whole story. The Knights won this game also.
So many people helped to make it a success and I thank them all. We have already begun preparations for next year!
So, there will definitely not be a posting tomorrow... but hopefully I will be able to post Wednesday morning.
Rumors swirling over tomorrow evenings finale...
they will each sing two songs they have sung before ... or one they have sung before and one new one.
I like the later , as that could certainly mean that we will hear Taylor belt out GEORGIA... the Ray Charles classic.
I also understand they will each be singing a different "coronation song" (the song that will become their first single. This excites me, since normally that song is a mushy pile of cow dung that no one in theri right mind would buy.
If you have never voted before, but you have watched, place your votes for the best of the bunch this season... Mr. Taylor Hicks...
Yes, I know...the cheater tied Babe Ruth this weekend...
No matter, he is still not even worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence as Ruth and Aaron.
Keep that spark of insanity kids...It helps keep you an individual.

Bond!! I got to catch up from last week finally. These are great blogs! Now, I feel better because I got to read them :)
Please find a TV somewhere somehow to see the show tomorrow night! Even on vacation last week, we huddled in front of the little hotel TV by 8pm and watched AI Tuesday night.
So sorry to see you-know-who tie Babe last week. So disappointing. But you're right, he'll never touch Hank.
Too bad your weather was terrible and couldn't have all of the games :( Better luck next year.
