Big Leather Couch

Hope you enjoyed the little bit of nature we shared yesterday. When the weather is pleasant, sitting on Nancy's back porch is so peaceful. Sure there are the noises of a suburban neighborhood, but it seemed like last Saturday and Sunday the world just receded and it was so peaceful.

Some of the bird and crickets and the like were not audible on the movie, which was too bad, as they made it even more peaceful.

Spoke with Matt yesterday and now there is some legal wranglings going on with the Continental Baseball League. They dropped two teams and then merged with another 6-8 teams and it seems someone is not happy and the lawyers are involved. Not sure what this means for him going down to Texas, though he has a signed contract giving him a 5-day try-out...so we will see.

So, when I was posting yesterday's video I became aware that two of my Video Tuneage Tutelage's no longer have sound on them. The B.B. King and the Howlin' Wolf Tutelages had the soundtrack removed because I violated the "no share our music" laws.

Now, I do not get this. First off, I OWN THESE SONGS! I paid for them.

I am not 'sharing them' - allowing people to copy them and use them - none of the songs actually played to their entirety or they have me speaking over them....yeah, 'hey bobby, let's listen to that Howlin' Wold song with the funny voiced guy talking all over it!'...

The music I post here, unless it is licensed to be shared, can not be downloaded, so you can only listen while streaming...again I OWN THESE SONGS...I PAID FOR THEM...

So, I can't invite people over to my home and play music for them, because it violates the piracy acts????? Because, kiddies, that is basically what I do here!

I am not a fan of those sharing sites and of pirating music...but this whole, you can't even stream what you own...or use the music as a soundtrack...

Now, the final point here is...all of what I just argued against above is just and right and the law should be enforced if someone is using music in a soundtrack or in a club setting ...IF THEY ARE MAKING MONEY OFF OF IT!...now y'all know that The Couch brings in so much revenue that I retired last year, right? WRONG! there is no advertising here...I make no money on the Tuneage Tutelages or the New Music Mondays etc etc...

So, the laws are in place to protect artists / record labels from having their product stolen...

HEY WGA...get your collective arses out of your butts and worry about important things...

So, I should probably post some real illegal music here...but I won't...
