Off early this morning for Tunica, MS and the Horseshoe Casino and tonight B.B. King, fourth row center. Darlin Nancy and I have a HUGE (650 sq ft) suite for the night and plan on getting a late checkout for Saturday.
Can not wait. We will spend the day by the pool and a very good friend has bankrolled me for a $100.00 Black bet at the roulette table. One spin...will let you know how it turns out.
AC on the car has been on the fritz. The seal on the compressor is gone. It was replaced about 18 months ago and I had a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. I have put less than the 12,000 miles on it and the great mechanic I was introduced to when I moved here is honoring the warranty. The labor is still going to set me back a few hundred, but there is no way I can survive without A.C. here in Memphis. Even my 4 mile drive to work is brutal the last two weeks with the temps being constant at around 95 each day. I love the heat, I do...but getting to work at 8:00 am and having my shirt stuck to my back...well that is too much.
OH well...maybe that bet will take some of the sting off the bill.
