Coming up this week on DR. BLOGSTEIN'S RADIO HAPPY HOUR: (Live on Tuesday November 20th at 9PM ET and forever archived at BlogTalkRadio.)
Barry, named to the exclusive list of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, is as outspoken and controversial as he is a talented basketball player. We'll talk hoops and underhanded free throws with this sports legend.

Also, Alex Boylan, winner of CBS's The Amazing Race II, will call in from somewhere in South America to discuss his latest adventure. Evidently, winning a race around the world was not challenging enough for him, now Alex is attempting to make it around the world for free!

All that plus, Jane returns as co-host, SUPREME COMMANDER OF THE CYBERWAVES Vinny Bond drags his Big Leather Couch into the Radio Happy Hour Lounge and chats live with the listeners, your calls at 646-652-4804, and one lucky caller will play a rousing game of "NAME OR DRUG" for a chance to win fabulous prizes.
Join us live every Tuesday night at 9PM ET. The Radio Happy Hour Lounge--a live chat room during show time--is a whole new reason to make sure you listen live! It’s the show within the show!

Sorry about that folks...see what happens when we leave the computer for an hour?
Another song we caught on our ride home the other night that brought back memories was by Kenny Loggins & Jim Messina.
In 1971 Jim Messina, formerly of POCO and BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD was working as a producer for Columbia Records. He met a studio musician who had written some songs. His name was Kenny Loggins.
It was decided Messina would produce Loggins' first album, but by the time they were finished Messina had appeared on so many songs, as a composer, singer and instumentalist that the album was entitled Kenny Loggins With Jim Messina - Sittin' In...it became known simply as Sittin' In...
Between 1971 and 1977 the duo released 9 albums; two were live recordings and the last a compilation album. The both went on to successful solo recording careers.
They were the leaders in the soft rock genre which was smacked with the name 'yacht rock' by some.
"Danny's Song", was written by Kenny Loggins and reached #82 on the Pop Singles chart in 1972. In 1973 Anne Murray released her version of the song which reached # 7 on the Pop Singles chart, #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #10 on the Country chart.
"House At Pooh Corner", also on the same album, can certainly be called a 'novelty song', but the song composed by Kenny Loggins has one of those hooks that stays in your head...
