Each week TRAVIS from "Trav's Thoughts" hosts Five On Friday where we get to select five songs of any mix we care....

Check out the other participants by clicking on his link above...and join in!
You can register for free at playlist.com and type in a band name and BAM the song will be there to assist in building your playlist.
Travis lays out some guidelines for this meme and they go like this:
1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.
2. Go to Playlist.com to make your play list of five songs. Choose a particular theme to share with us. You can simply post the play list, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.
3. I don't know how to make a specific linky, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know that you participated.
4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.
I am not a video guy for the most part, but today I realized that was the way to go this week.
Eddie James "Son" House, Jr. March 21, 1902 (could be disputed) – October 19, 1988) was an American blues singer and guitarist. House pioneered an innovative style featuring strong, repetitive rhythms, often played with the aid of slide guitar, and his singing often incorporated elements of southern gospel and spiritual music.
House was an important influence on Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. A seminal Delta blues figure, he remains influential today, with his music being covered by blues-rock groups such as The White Stripes.
John Lee Hooker (August 22, 1917 – June 21, 2001) was an American blues singer-songwriter and guitarist, born near Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee...these guys are one of my earliest introductions to the true blues and I have been a fan since the first note
Sonny Boy Williamson (John Lee Curtis Williamson, March 30, 1914 — June 1, 1948) was an American blues harmonica player, and the first to use the name Sonny Boy Williamson.
Finally, the man who is considered "The Grandfather Of The Blues"...no video is available for him, but the music he made carries on today to so many artists both past and present. Mr. Robert Johnson...did he make a deal with the devil down in Clarksdale, MS? Was he poisoned? The tales have been around for years...the answers...buried away somewhere.
