Monday and a new week begins

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Monday, August 30, 2010 6 Of Your Sparks

Tonight on MUSIC ON THE COUCH we present another Roundtable discussion. Back in March, on our first Roundtable, we featured three bloggers who write and live music.

This week, we Sit with three 'insiders'; Ariel Hyatt, founder of Ariel Publicity, Bree Nobel, a singer-songwriter who is also CEO of Women Of Substance Radio, and Loren Weisman, founder of Brain Grenade Entertainment , a producer and drummer who also authored the book, The Artist’s Guide to Success in the Music Business.

Should be an interesting show with a lot of information being shared.

Nancy and I decided we would be attending the Arkansas Music And Heritage Festival this year on October 7,8 and 9. It is the former King Biscuit festival and is held in Helena, Arkansas. The lineup this year is freakin' great and includes B.B. King, Dr. John, Taj Mahal, Hubert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins, Charlie Musselwhite, Eden Brent and the Reba Russell Band.

All for only $25 for all three days. That folks, is one hell of a bargain. Unfortunately all hotel rooms within 20 miles are booked, so we will be about 35 minutes away. Not horrible, but have to remember that for future years. Plan ahead. We will be using points for two of the three nights, so that is even sweeter.

I will document the three days in pictures and be sharing. I also hope to make it a meeting place for future interviews, maybe even bring a tape recorder to do some impromptu interviews I can share on future shows.
