Holiday Hoopla....

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Tuesday, December 23, 2008 19 Of Your Sparks

Yesterday and today were not so bad. The back kept tightening up, so I walked the office hallways a few times.

No one is in this week. All my clients are out, but I still need to be here, at least today. Then I am off the rest of the week. Next week, I work Monday and Tuesday and then will be done until the 5th of January!

We will have a post on Wednesday - Christmas Eve Day - but then not have a post on Thursday & Friday.

Nancy and I will be together Christmas Eve as the boys are with their dad and then Christmas Day, they come home for a big old breakfast and then we are off to Nancy's sister's home for dinner.

I have been requested to bring along an Antipasto Platter...

Over the weekend, I will begin preparations for the New Year's Eve Dinner.

Went out to the Party Store yesterday at lunch and bought stuff for the centerpiece and to decorate the table. Also got some hats and noisemakers and napkins for the evening.

Food shopping list is all prepared.

Special gifts have been made and will be handed out as the guests arrive. Just a little souvenir of the evening...

Place cards are all designed and ready to be printed. You see, the place settings change with every course, allowing for people to be sitting near different guests with each course.

Built a play list off of my i-Tunes for the evening's entertainment. Went through and selected one song from each artist. Will hit shuffle and let it play throughout the evening.

The play list ended up being 11.7 hours long, so some music might not get heard. I liked the thought of not repeating an artist all night long and mixing the different genres.

I should be posting on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week, with our normal New Year's Eve music-fest posted up for Thursday and through the weekend.

Please have a wonderfully safe, Happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Festivus.

A wonderful song for Christmas by one of the most influential artists ever...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL..............

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Friday, December 21, 2007 32 Of Your Sparks

TIME TO DONATE SOME RICE TODAY!
<-----------------------------------------------

Build your vocabulary, feed the hungry...
10,238,535,870 grains donated at this point...TEN BILLION FOLKS!!!!!!!!

Well our last Christmas Version of the Tuneage Tutelage Game
was a blow-out with the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA
taking 72.2% of the vote and the closest competitor with only 38.4%

Again, we hope you liked this version of the feature
TUNEAGE TUTELAGE
We will bring it back in the new year on occasion...

It was at C.W. Post College on Long Island, NY in 1975 and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND were on stage. This is probably one of the best performances of a Christmas song EVER recorded in our opinion...the song is, of course "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie...

The front of our Christmas card we designed this year

We are off to San Antonio tomorrow morning...can not wait to see Richard, Cindy and nieces Amelia and Adele...only one thing could make it better and all y'all know what that is...

We will do the drive through Arkansas into Texas on the way down and come back through Louisiana and Mississippi on our way home...make sure bail money is available if we give you a call! LOL

As we understand it, Christmas Eve dinner is in our hands...we will be head chef for that feast. In our family, and many other Italian and Sicilian families that means fish and plenty of it...clams and mussels and flounder and squid and calamari and 'we can't eat it' shrimp...
YUMMMMMM to all of it (including the 'we can't eat it' - shrimp)...

We plan to post a little Tuneage of Christmas songs by various artists that day which will stay up through Christmas Day. Then, if all goes well, on Wednesday we will share a Tutelage on the winners of our game the last few days.

We head home on Thursday, so doubt there will be a new post that day. Friday we will be putting together a lasagna to bring up to Lexington, KY for New Years Eve at TurnBaby's...

Listen up to her show on Sunday, because we will be there, along with a special guest...We plan on getting some tunes up for all y'all to groove to on New Year's Eve and day, with a wrap-up of 2007 and a look forward to 2008....

Then home on Tuesday to get back into the grind of work on Wednesday...

PLEASE everyone be very safe...watch out for the ijits who will be out on the road without having full control of their faculties...

Celebrate with family, friends and loved ones...and be around in 2008 as we kick off another year here on THE COUCH...

Another Springsteen classic performance was "Merry Christmas Baby" written by Lou Baxter & Johnny Moore

Our love to each and every one of you...
as we like to say with our HOOCHIES AND HOTTIES...
GROPES, HUGS, SMOOCHES, HIGH-FIVES, CHEST BUMPS...
a feast of affection, take the ones you'd like

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE COUCH & BOND
