Simon: PAULER, SHUT UP! It reminded me of a mother at a wedding getting up with the band after a few too many drinks...

We had Sanjaya in the bottom two - 4-4 on our predictions…Next week we begin naming the "going home" contestant.

Heading out to Atlanta in the morning on business. Will be back Friday afternoon.

Then Sunday, off to St. Cloud, MN until Tuesday…

Then Thursday night to NJ to pick up a rental car and grab the remainder of my stuff and drive back to get back home to Memphis on Sunday…

Going to try and post as normal, but can’t guarantee it.

American Idol continues to have it’s behind the scenes troubles…

Magdaleno Olmos sued American Idol Productions, Fox and season-four contestant Mario Vazquez for wrongful termination Friday, alleging that Olmos was fired after complaining to various higher-ups that Vazquez had sexually harassed him by making unwanted advances, flashing his genitals and engaging in other inappropriate behavior.

SHEESH!

When is the government going to give up the fight?????

SAN FRANCISCO - A woman whose doctor says marijuana is the only medicine keeping her alive can face federal prosecution on drug charges, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.

The ruling was the latest legal defeat for Angel Raich, a mother of two from Oakland suffering from scoliosis, a brain tumor, chronic nausea and other ailments who sued the federal government pre-emptively to avoid being arrested for using the drug.

On her doctor's advice, Raich eats or smokes marijuana every couple of hours to ease her pain and bolster her appetite.

Incredible that millions of dollars are still being spent to try and stop pot from being used. Either legalize it and regulate and tax like liquor, or allow citizens to grow up to a certain amount on their own each year. Selling it can still be a crime, so that anything grown is for personal use.

Let’s use this money we are burning on the interdiction and prosecution on more important things like education or stopping the spread of other drugs that do much more harm - like Methamphetamine perhaps???

Oh and the thought that it leads to harder substances is hooey…sure people who use harder substances might have used marijuana, but that does not mean the marijuana caused them to move up the ladder.

Welcome To THE COUCH...Sit on Down and Get Comfy...

Spent time apartment hunting again yesterday. Saw 5 different complexes and liked two, so I will return to them this Saturday. Also want to check out two downtown and see what they are like.

Did some texting back and forth with Matt yesterday and man my stomach was just turning and my heart just crying.

Yes, I know he is 19 and should be away in school already if not for going to the local JuCo to play ball - which resulted in him living home for two more years.

And Yes, I know next year he will be away at school and wouldn't be living home.

And Yes, I know after that he would probably be living on his own anyway.

BUT...that is your child leaving to go out into the world....this just feels like me leaving him...

And I told him that and he wrote back telling me...

I was going to put his text message here, but decided against it. I will say that his words made me start crying like a baby and that now, reading them again (I will not be deleting this message ever), makes the tears come again.

I understand our dog Rocky has been moping around too...

I need to stay strong..this is a great opportunity for me and will help everyone to get past our financial situation...stay strong...must stay strong......

Work is getting better and by that I mean I am beginning to actually work. Not like it is taking up my entire day or anything - hence my being able to post this during the day - but I can see we will begin to rock soon.

I got numerous calls yesterday regarding the Cory Lidle story and his dying in a plane crash in Manhattan. First it was just about a plane hitting a building - flashbacks began immediately - then that Cory was on the plane...

My prayers go out to his family, his instructors family (who was also killed), and to all those injured by the crash.

The reports on TV keep referring back to Thurman Munson and his crash...yes, they both wore Yankee uniforms...but the circumstances and their relationship to the fams of NY were so different. Lidle had just come to the team..his time was spent in Philadelphia and Oakland...that does not mean a Yankee fan should mourn less..just that you can't say it has the same impact on Yankee fans.

The Tigers are up 2-0...we should have another comment by DAMM anytime now...

OK..it is official LOST is the best show on TV bar none...man just when you think you know what might happen they zoom you in a different direction.

I loved last night. Ben telling Jack they have contact with the real world and trying to convince Jack if he cooperates , they will send him home. Ben tells Jack that American's had re-elected Bush...and that the Red Sox had won the World Series and Jack bursts out laughing and says "If you were going to try and convince me you have contact with the outside world, you should have picked a team other then the Red Sox" and Ben turns on the VCR and shows him the last out of the series and Jack goes slack jawed...what a scream!

I must stay strong...

Happy Birthday Mom. We love you and hope you have a wonderful day...

Well...I sent out an email last week alerting friends and family of my new hobby--writing this blog...So, I presume there will be 30,000,000,000 people reading this today (gosh, I just love the little world I live in!)

I have also begun checking out some of the cool videoblogs (Vlog) that are popping up all over the internet...Thanks to TiVo, I get to see one of my favs right on my TV. Rocketboom, is the Vlog I watch and it is pretty cool. Hosted by Amanda Congdon (left - who was once a model, though she says she hated it), she along with producer Andrew Baron produce a 3 to 5 minute Vlog each weekday. The have recently upgraded the production values by filming in HDV video camera. This all came about after they auctioned off commercial time at the end of each show. The first advertiser, ATM manufacturer TRM paid $40,000 for rights to a week of commercial spots. Currently, (as of last week)Earthlink is running spots each day. This little project, conceived 2 years ago, is now worth between $4 and $5 million dollars according to Baron.

Did you know that according to Mefeedia.com (the video-blog listing service), there is more then 6,900 Vlogs on the web already? That is incredible to me. Technology is getting cheaper, and even mainstream media is getting involved - the internet is going to become one giant video-center... now, where did I put that digital video camera....

Remember to treat your kids right...William Crawford of Castalia, OH wonders why his two sons don't feel closer to him.
Seems, Billy-boy was running for re-election to retain his seat on the Erie County democratic Party Central Committee. He has a lock on the win, until his two sons decided not to vote...the result, a 43-43 tie. Now one of the son's lives across town, but the other still lives home! No confirmation that William changed the locks on the house that evening and never told his son!

OK, you get out of prison and your wife and kids come meet you. You all board the commuter train to go home an d celebrate and sleep in your own bed for the first time in a while. OK, so you order a beer on the train.. maybe two...BUT John McKenzie went a bit too far. Seems he had a few more then two beers, got drunk and swiped the beer of another passenger. An argument ensues and McKenzie gets arrested in Ogden, IL and goes to jail for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Yes kids, dad will be home soon (I think).

Think I'll by a safe to protect my most important possessions...A man in Lawrence, KS did just that. Then some thieves broke into his home and stole the safe. The cops come to his door and ARREST HIM! Why? Well it seems that someone (who was not involved in the break-in according to police), turned over some of the contents of the safe stolen.
The contents...DVD's and videos of the owner having sex with underage girls. This one reminds me of the guy who goes to the police station to report that someone stole his pot plants...ummm folks....we have LAWS!

"Lost" fans...did your jaw hit the ground?? Did you fall off your chair?? Does this show ever fail to cause one set of goosebumps per episode?? Incredible ending this week...

Babe...even when he passes you, you are more about baseball then he ever will be. Hank, he will never catch you...never.

Are You LOST?

Every Wednesday evening at 9:00 PM do you get Lost? Do you find yourself on the edge of the couch wondering what will happen next? Are you a fan of the show LOST?

I AM!

And last evening, the show took another sharp turn and made me wonder......

Hurley was featured in the show with flashbacks to his time in the psychiatric hospital. It appears he went out onto a porch and it collasped and two people were killed and that turned him catatonic. In the hospital he is progressing except for one patient named Dave. Dave seems to want Hurley to keep eating, not take his meds and to escape. Hurley backs out of the escape at the last moment.

Now, on the island, Hurley sees Dave and chases him into the jungle. Wondering aloud how Dave could be there, Hurley yells "YOU ARE NOT HERE"..at which point Dave throws a rock and it hits him and hurts....Dave tells Hurley the entire island is in his head..a dream..that he is catatonic in the hospital and if he leaps off a cliff he will wake up. Dave then dives off into the ocean...Will Hurley jump??? Is this all a part of Hurley's coma-dream???

Long story short...Dave is not real..He is in Hurley's mind... and tried to get Hurley to commit suicide. Libby saves Hurley and tells him she does like him and they kiss and all seems wonderful...until...we flash back to the hospital and who is sitting on the other side of the dayroom from Hurley....LIBBY!

So, LOST fans... Tell me... is this all a dream of Hurley's? Is it someone else's dream? Is it all real?? Are they all dead and in purgatory??? (All speculations I have read on the internet.) Let me know your thoughts....

I saw a comment on a site that I did not know... did you???
"Libby told everyone that she was in the back of the plane that crashed...if you go back to season one and look at the last episode where they kidnap Walt...Libby is driving the boat."

These are the times I wish I kept the episodes on my TiVo.

OK, so I only had one of the bottom 3 right...but it was the person I thought would go...Mandisa...you will get a recording contract and sing the music closest to your heart Gospel. Enjoy and thanks for some great listening pleasure.

I understand Taylor had strep and a fever the night he sang and that "Take Me Home Country Roads" was not his first choice. His first choice could not be cleared, so this was his second selection. Taylor.. you need to belt one out this week...

QUEEN WEEK... Who picks these themes or are they just for sale??? How does "Don't Stop Me Now" sound for Taylor... hummm I like it..would give him a chance to shake it up on stage and it seems to be in his vocal range.

I am also interested in this whole theory of AI being fixed...I have been given links to articles written talking about the lineup of songs on the CD they produce each year which comes out before the show ends... We will speak more on that in the next few days.

Our nephew Joseph is still fighting the Bacterial Meningitis and today will be operated on to relieve the fluid buildup in his brain. Stay tough big guy... we love you and are praying for you.

Will be traveling tomorrow, so this will not be updated until later in the day.
