More and more people are moving away from blogging. We have discussed this subject before, but it seems to be truly sliding away. Well, maybe just those I have followed. As this is a group who adopted blogging early on.

There are still many blogging and maybe it is on me to go out and find new people to read and, hopefully, lead them back here.

My friends list over there on the right would be so much smaller if I truly deleted those who have not posted in say 3 months. And I do miss the writing of many of those out there. Jay no longer blogs...he is all about Twitter and Tumblr and the like.

Dana no longer blogs. Songbird will put up a post every month or so. Liz does not blog about life or food.

I still have my daily delights from Travis - hell, he is giving us history lessons most of the summer...you really need to check him out if you love stuff about WWI and WWII and more... and Driller posts about 3-4 times a week. Mickey-T is still letting us see his talents and The Blogfather, Phfrankie entertains daily and of course Ms. Mimi is still brilliantly writing.

Comments here have slowed down and I guess I understand that also. My writings have not been comment inducing as much as they were once upon a time.

For me with work, it has been tough to visit every day ... the times they are a-changing...

But at the same time, it stays the same...

This week:
JEREMY BUSTILLOS
and
BRYAN LEE

SIT ON
THE COUCH

Two gentlemen who love sharing their music. One while serving his country and the other traveling a world he will never see.

Jeremy Bustillos is skilled on both the harmonica and saxophone. He travels to share his music throughout the year. His career is slightly different than those we have sat with prior, as Jeremy is a member of the US Navy Band!

Originally from Dallas, TX, Jeremy is now a Memphis denizen when not touring with the Navy Band. They recently performed during the Memphis In May Sunset Symphony.

How did he get to where he is today and what are his plans for tomorrow? We will sit with jeremy and explore those items and listen to some of his music, including the premier of a new song “When The Deed Is Done,” which Jeremy completed in the studio on Thursday!

Then, Bryan Lee will take a seat on The Couch. Lee is originally from Wisconsin, but for the better part of 30 years he has called New Orleans his home.

Known as the "Braille Blues Daddy" (Lee has been without sight since he was 8-years old), he was once told by the great Muddy waters, "Bryan, stay with this. One day you're going to be a living legend."

Bryan travels with his band around the globe throughout the spring, summer and fall. In the winter, they are a staple on the New Orleans music scene.

Lee recently appeared on Live! In Chicago, with the Kenny Wayne Shepard Band. The album was just named 2011 Rock Blues Album of the Year at the Blues Music Awards.

I am excited to sit with Bryan and talk about his long journey. We also get to hear some of the great music Bryan is making today with his band which includes our friend Slim Louis.

We will take your calls and questions for both guests at 1.347.633.9400.
